Hello, my dear Hivers!
These past few months, I’ve mostly spent my days hanging out with friends and, of course, saving my weekends for family time. But this time, let me share something a little different and truly memorable—our experience attending a house blessing by our ma’am in probation.
Weeks before the event, she already invited us and even gave us a small task: we were assigned to handle the fun part of the evening, like preparing games so that the visitors wouldn’t get bored. Exciting right? Since the group she invited were not just my co-interns but also my friends, I already knew it was going to be a fun experience.
On the day of the event, we gathered at school first and waited for each other before heading to ma’am’s house. I went with my co-intern, Verjane, and we left at around 4 PM, thinking the program would start by 5 PM. Little did we know, the actual house blessing was indeed at 5 PM, but the main event was scheduled in the evening. So we ended up joining the house blessing first.
When the house blessing started, ma'am gave me a candle to hold and it made me feel so included in the ceremony right away. The atmosphere was both solemn and heartwarming at the house blessing. It was a mix of serenity and joy. It was a mix of serenity and joy.

After that, we regrouped with my co-interns to plan the flow of the games. We were really thankful that Kuya Andrew was with us, he’s really good at leading events like this, I could already tell that with him around, we’d be fine.

After planning, Ma’am offered us some budbud, which she said was very special because it had ube inside.I didn’t eat any since my tummy was still full, but it definitely looked tempting and I could see how delighted everyone else was to try it.

As the hours passed, I decided to walk around a bit and check the backyard. That’s when I noticed some people busy setting something up. Out of curiosity, I went closer, and to my surprise—it was a giant inflatable! The kind that kids absolutely loved for. To make it even more fun, they had socks for sale since all the children needed socks before playing inside.

As the clock struck close to 6 PM, ma’am gathered us at the front area of the house, where everything was beautifully set up. What caught my attention was the mini bar—you could request anything for free! Drinks like cocktails, and all that. Unfortunately, I’m not really into alcoholic beverages, but I’m sure those who were into it enjoyed it a lot.

Then came dinner time. The food was prepared and set up buffet style, and it honestly seemed to be filling. My co-interns and I while waiting for the go signal, took a few photos to keep the memory. Shortly after, the sound system was being installed and the program got underway with an opening prayer led by one of ma'am’s relatives.

We then went to the dining room, took our food, and enjoyed the meal together.

Super timing our dinner was about to end, and we could see the sunset with the sky colored in orange, pink, and purple shades. One could hardly take their eyes off the sunset, especially with the light and fresh evening air. It was as if the sunset itself were participating in the celebration with us, giving the night a warm and calm atmosphere.
And that’s it for now, my dear Hivers! This was just part one of the house blessing story, and I can’t wait to share the continuation with you in my next blog. There are still so many fun highlights from the night that I’ll be telling you soon—so stay tuned!
