Our research proposal presentation was scheduled for Monday two days ago. Knowing that, we started preparing just the week before—more specifically, over the weekend. To be honest, we didn’t really plan to meet up initially. We all knew ourselves too well: if we met, there would probably be more random chitchats and nonsense conversations than actual productive work! So on Friday afternoon and Saturday, which were our only free times, we didn’t meet up at all. But things took a turn on Saturday evening. One of our group members messaged us in the group chat saying we *had* to meet on Sunday. She was feeling pressured because other groups were already meeting in person and had even started practicing how to answer the research questions. That kind of push made all of us realize we should do the same, so we agreed to meet up. I suggested that we use the whole of Sunday as a study and preparation day. Our plan was to be there from 9 AM until 6 PM so we could really make the most of our time. When Sunday comes, of course, true to Filipino time, we ended up starting at around 10 AM. But we still had a whole day ahead of us, so that was all right. ![image.png](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/itsmemic/23xetV1A3P1JgRVvru5t9iAAdxZejEzRPmeqmho9YoAjsTYH7YDxRBFRW3MTK9UxDWaiD.png) "Good morning, ma'am," said a crew staff as I entered and selected a table to have a seat at. I then took that as a sign to decide what to order. So I approached the counter and told the crew staff I was waiting for my groupmates. But since I was thirsty, I just ordered a strawberry latte for ₱39. ![image.png](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/itsmemic/23wC9ZF1rH4T7inyngHG5A1hQhGjo2o26fkGqzg8RjsLtnqKojKjgbCQTTCGQJ8J4jame.png) When my drink was served, I started setting up everything we would need for our meeting—my notes, laptop, and other materials. My groupmates did the same as they arrived. A few minutes later, we officially began reviewing our research manuscript and went over key terms that we needed to remember. By noon, people started getting hungry, so some of my groupmates went out to buy food. I didn’t join them immediately because I was still finishing something.

They ordered some really delicious meals, and it even came with drinks. Just looking at it made my mouth water! ![image.png](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/itsmemic/23tvo2StePdEWyqgL2tay6iQt6diBcQaJRmbUZDUiSiz5UxCHkn6Rm5oAgtUvxuemQrwZ.png) Before 12 PM, I finally joined them for lunch. I asked to borrow some utensils since I had brought some food and fruits from home. Before eating, I quickly took a mirror selfie right before I started eating and cleaned the part of the table where I was going to put my food. ![image.png](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/itsmemic/23tmB3SGqczL2AfenwSyfrf2dvR8EbWnMwK1ujsmcFHG9GhkAfvNe9yxpbhdUScAkM9VH.png) After our meal, we went straight back to work. My groupmates started writing their scripts for their parts of the PowerPoint presentation, while I focused on thoroughly reviewing our research paper. I checked for any parts that needed editing or improvement, but thankfully, I didn’t find anything major that needed revision. ![image.png](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/itsmemic/23tbwGn2g4Kggcck7hCZ8ehFC1VZT1Vvjk2WDf3LMPNijWLSipKqTn6TSMEyX2d4E4pJT.jpg) Once that was done, I told everyone that we should do a dry run of our presentation. We gave ourselves around 30 minutes to mentally prepare, then began reporting and presenting our work to each other as practice. I’d say we did a pretty decent job—our delivery was clear and the content was solid. After that, we took a short break. Then we jumped into a Q&A session, where we tried to guess the possible questions we might get during the actual presentation. We noted down any questions we didn’t know how to answer yet, so we could work on them. ![image.png](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/itsmemic/23xVAi23BN98R7qPkspn7qivkuqeyE9P7stFnz6xYhF5nqXWYweGMD5buT7oUhaKJE8Gw.png) Since it was already getting late—and all of us live quite far from the venue—we decided to call it a day and go home. ![image.png](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/itsmemic/23ynN94m6yFTcaQnvWhRmGs7GcetcxenL3UGfLELsnhifkugvw2fznkURkDeTWtxA5apP.jpg) As for me, I stopped by *Mercado Bogo* first because my parents were there. When I arrived, we ate some *crispy chicken buchi* (which I absolutely love!). After that, we all headed home. That’s it for this blog, my dear Hivers! Thank you so much for taking the time to read through my little adventure. I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did. Until next time!
