How I Created My First Monochromatic Artwork

Hi there everyone, It's me Rhea again, and today I will be sharing another blog of mine about making a Monochromatic Art. I hope you would love this one, thanks so much.  Last week of September, we were told by our Art Appreciation instructor to make a monochromatic art, but since it is new to us he demonstrated the Art in front of us and told the criteria for the art. I was so impressed that we can finally make a monochromatic art with different types of subjects. I was so thrilled to make one and so I didn’t hesitate to buy a 1/4 illustration board and a coloring materials which is the oil pastel is what I am gonna use for my art. Since I am so afraid to make a mistake on my first art I then practiced myself doing it. I chose my subject as a heart organ, since I am planning to have a one color value which is red.  And since I am so excited to make one, I chose to practice a little bit over studying since I already studied a little bit and I wanted to practice more on making monochromatic art. And then I sketched out a heart organ in my illustration board and then started to color the whole thing.  At first, it was so hard for me since I am only a beginner. This is my first attempt by the way.  As you can see I am not that good with colors like adding shade, tint, and even tone hehe but I swear I am trying my best lol. And then I attempted again and I can clearly see that it was a lot better than my first attempt though. Days passed and the final submission of the artwork is finally happening, our instructor told us to sketch the subject in our house and color it during our class session. And so I then sketched two subjects in case I could get mistakes.  By the way here’s my other classmates doing their own artwork. Some of us made subjects like candles, chess piece, fruits, and even flowers.   And I also didn’t waste any time and started making my monochromatic art, and this is my first attempt, I was not satisfied by my art and I can tell that I overuse the black shade and attempted again to make another one.  And by the way these are the artworks made by my classmates and of course I did asked permission to take a picture of their monochromatic art hehe.    And this is mine, this is the final artwork. I am so happy and proud of myself that I made my own monochromatic art and it was successfully done.  And by the way the one next to my artwork is made by my bestie Joyce.  I hope that we could get a good grade from our artwork hehe.
