we are finally here! yes, that is right i used "finally". we have long planned to eat in this restaurant, but never got the chance. in fact, we came here yesterday only to find out that it was close: and so we got transported to korea. but today, we are here in burger country.

i was honestly surprised when the staff directed us to the second floor, never knew it had a 2nd floor in the first place. and that staircase was designed so well. pop culture references here and there, were the owners toy story fans? the posters were perfectly curated. housemate g and housemate js came with me, but i was left alone on this steps just to check some details.

this restaurant was so western coded, the wall even had a decoration of a van back door with a california plate. the plate number could be fake but that van door seemed real. it had so may trinkets which really gave me the feeling that we were near the sea. the music were also mostly reggae, i was so lost to the tunes while waiting for the food that my mind saw the beach at the distance. the shop was really well coordinated.

and here comes the food. i know that it was a burger joint, but i am really bad at eating burgers. i just find it difficult to open my mouth for a big bite of those thick burgers. to have an easier life, i ordered loco moco. burger patty and egg on rice with lettuce, tomato, and avocado on the side. housemate js gave her iced coffee, she had a chocolate smoothie drink. it was really good! my beach fantasy was complete with this hawaiin-esque dish.

SMILE! we are now in florida, says the sign. this is such a laid back feel, it is a great break from the busy outside world.

i SMILED on the way out. it was an experience, i never expected to have beach vibes close to home. as promised at the front door, they don't serve fast food but real food. i think i get that now. i'll probably try the burgers next time.
