Hello, dear hivers! How are you? A few months ago, I had the opportunity to visit my dad in Houston, and I jumped at the chance to ask him to take me to the AMC Movie Theater, which is near his house. So, today I'd love to show it to you. I hope you like it!
Hola, queridos hivers! Como están? Hace algunos meses tuve la oportunidad de ir a Houston a visitar a mi papá, y no perdí la oportunidad de pedirle que me llevara al AMC Movie Theater el cual queda cerca de su casa, así que el dia de hoy me encantaría enseñárselos. Espero les guste!
I really thought this movie theater was beautiful. I didn't get a chance to go in and see a movie when we passed by because it was already late. However, I was very happy because one of the workers let us in and we were able to see the inside. I thought it was quite big! Tickets can be purchased through a screen and although the prices seem a bit high ($19.99 adult, $18.49 senior and $16.99 children) compared to the cinemas in my country (Venezuela) that cost $2 each ticket, I think that if I were there in Houston and they were showing a movie that I really liked, I would pay $20 to see it hahaha 😂.
Realmente este cine me pareció hermoso, no me dió chance de entrar a ver una película cuando pasamos porque ya era algo tarde sin embargo, me puse muy feliz porque uno de sus trabajadores nos dejó entrar y pudimos conocerlo por dentro, y me pareció bastante grande! Los tickets se pueden comprar a través de una pantalla y aunque los precios me parecen algo elevados (19.99$ adulto, 18.49$ senior y 16.99$ niños) en comparación a los cines de mi país (Venezuela) que cuestan 2$ cada entrada, creo que si estando allá en Houston estuviesen transmitiendo alguna película que me guste mucho, pagaría 20$ por verla jajaja 😂.
The cinema has 18 screening rooms, which I heard are really big (obviously I couldn't get in to see one 🥲) which are divided into 2 hallways and I admit, I was very curious to get in hahaha 😂.
El cine cuenta con 18 salas de proyección, los cuales escuché que son inmensas (obviamente no pude entrar a conocer una 🥲) las cuales se dividen en 2 pasillos y lo admito, tenía mucha curiosidad por entrar jajaja 😂.
There was a pretty varied line-up too. I was struck by some posters like Zootopia 2 which was being released on my birthday, and my favorite Kimetsu No Yaiba which was also yet to be released, but I loved how they framed the poster and that they were going to show it in IMAX quality too. There were other ads too but the one I liked the most was the one for Downtown Abbey which I was eagerly awaiting.
También había una cartelera bastante variada, me llamaron la atención algunos pósters como los de Zootopia 2 que se estrena para mi cumpleaños, y mi favorita Kimetsu No Yaiba la cual también faltaba para su estreno, pero me encantó cómo enmarcaron el póster y me también que la fuesen a proyectar en calidad IMAX. También habían otras publicidades pero la que más me gustó fue la de Downtown Abbey la cual estaba esperando con ansias.
The candy store is also quite interesting, as they not only sell combos of popcorn, soda, and food, but also have a stand selling official movie merchandise like t-shirts and caps, as well as candy, gummies, and other goodies. I couldn't complain about the prices of the combos, as although they are more expensive than here, they are still affordable.
La tienda de dulces es también bastante interesante ya que no solamente venden combos de cotufas, refrescos y comida, también hay un stand donde venden merch oficial de las películas como camisas y gorras, también caramelos, gomitas y otras chucherías. De los precios de los combos si no me podría quejar ya que aunque también son más caros que aquí se hacen accesibles.
The cinema is really big, and I loved exploring it. Even though it's part of a shopping mall, the outside is also very pretty. As a fan of cinemas, I love exploring new theaters, and being able to visit this one was quite an entertaining experience. It was a great pleasure sharing it with you! 😊.
El cine es realmente grande y me encantó conocerlo, aunque forma parte de un centro comercial por fuera también es bien lindo. Como fanática del séptimo arte, me encanta conocer nuevos cines y haber podido visitar este, ha sido una experiencia bastante entretenida. Ha sido un gran placer compartirlo con ustedes! 😊.
