Hola a todos! Estoy muy feliz porque esta semana tuve mi segundo reto evaluativo en mis clases de canto y ha sido una experiencia bastante divertida y emocionante, así que estoy encantada de compartirla con ustedes!
Hello everybody! I'm so excited because this week I had my second assessment challenge in my singing lessons, and it was a really fun and exciting experience, so I'm thrilled to share it with you!
El género musical de esta semana fue merengue, y para mí fue un reto porque es un género que personalmente no me gusta mucho y no estoy acostumbrada a cantar. Así que decidí aprenderme una canción de "Las Chicas del Can" llamada "El Negro no Puede", que me gustó mucho porque el estribillo es el mismo que el de "Waka Waka" de Shakira y me la aprendí fácilmente. Antes de empezar, nos reunimos mientras esperábamos al profesor y logramos desestresarnos bastante, así que al entrar estábamos relajados. Esta vez nos evaluaron dos profesores: el profesor Jhoan y el maestro Euro Navas.
This week's musical genre was merengue, and for me it was a challenge because it's a genre I personally don't like very much and I'm not used to singing, so I decided to learn a song by "Las Chicas del Can" called "El Negro no Puede" (The Black Can't), which I really liked because the chorus is the same as Shakira's "Waka Waka" and I was able to learn it easily. Before starting, we met while we waited for the teacher, and we managed to de-stress quite a bit, so when we entered, we were relaxed. This time we were evaluated by two teachers, Teacher Jhoan and Maestro Euro Navas.
Mi presentación fue bastante entretenida y logré vencer los nervios bailando al ritmo de mi música, reconozco que me costó mucho en especial la respiración porque como mencioné anteriormente no estoy nada acostumbrada al ritmo y me costó mucho la respiración, sin embargo no me puedo quejar, mi resultado fue satisfactorio porque saqué 17 puntos y estoy muy feliz porque fue más de lo que esperaba y me da mucha emoción que a mis profesores les gusta lo que canto, mi desenvolvimiento en escena y mi energía, así que me es satisfactorio porque así voy evolucionando como artista.
My presentation was quite entertaining and I managed to overcome my nerves by dancing to the rhythm of my music. I admit that I had a hard time, especially breathing because, as I mentioned before, I'm not at all used to the rhythm and I had a hard time breathing. However, I can't complain. My result was satisfactory because I got 17 points and I'm very happy because it was more than I expected and it makes me very excited that my teachers like what I sing, my performance on stage and my energy, so it's satisfying for me because that's how I evolve as an artist.
Les cuento que estaba un poco nerviosa porque, nos habían dicho que el profesor Euro es muy estricto sin embargo, todos logramos romper el hielo y fue una hermosa experiencia. Esta fue otra jornada muy satisfactoria ya que todos aprobamos con buenas notas y, nos divertimos mucho, bailamos, reímos y cantamos. El próximo martes es nuestra tercera evaluación y nos tocará cantar una canción balada, y yo me estoy preparando con toda la energía para brillar una vez más!
I tell you that I was a little nervous because we had been told that Professor Euro is very strict, however, we all managed to break the ice and it was a wonderful experience.This was another very satisfying day, as we all passed with flying colors and had a lot of fun, dancing, laughing, and singing. Next Tuesday is our third assessment, and we'll be singing a ballad, and I'm gearing up to shine once again!
