Ser profesora de inglés tiene sus ventajas. Siempre puedo ver más allá en el lenguaje, detalles en lo corporal, detalles en el comportamiento. Detalles que son propios de los códigos del inglés. Y como profesora de inglés, debo estar siempre en contacto con el idioma, a través de la música, de la cultura, de las películas, de las noticias, de los distintos videos que se pueden ver en Internet. Y me encanta que sea así porque vivir siempre conociendo más información sobre un mundo que no es el mío propiamente pudiera decir que de verdad lo adoro.
En está universidad nueva, en este universo nuevo puedo estar más tranquila, más relajada, puedo conocer estudiantes que son muy atentos y enfocados en los estudios y eso me motiva. Tambien puedo decir que el ambiente es agradable también. Como profesora de inglés, tengo la meta de que mis estudiantes puedan conversar mejor y aunque el enfoque de esta universidad es técnica, siempre doy más de lo que me piden porque naturalmente quiero que mis estudiantes puedan avanzar mucho más rápido. ¿Y a ustedes les gustaría que le diera clases de inglés?
Desde pequeña me ha gustado el inglés, y siempre fui como un bicho raro entre mi familia por gustarme un idioma que en principio no entendía Pero que me encanta escuchar. Mi familia siempre fue muy caribeña y con costumbres muy tropicales y que en mi adolescencia escuchase rock en ingles o pop en inglés era de verdad particular. Pero eso siempre me resaltó entre muchos grupos, no solo en el ámbito familiar Pero también académico, y laboral.
Hoy en día me gano la vida entre otras cosas con el inglés y adoro eso. Lo único que me falta es viajar y espero hacerlo muy pronto. ¡Deseenme suerte!

Being an English teacher has its advantages. I can always see beyond language, details in body language, details in behavior. Details that are typical of the codes of English. And as an English teacher, I must always be in contact with the language, through music, through culture, through movies, through the news, through the different videos that can be seen on the Internet. And I love it that way because living always knowing more information about a world that is not my own, I could say that I really love it. In this new university, in this new universe I can be calmer, more relaxed, I can meet students who are very attentive and focused on their studies and that motivates me.
I can also say that the atmosphere is pleasant as well. As an English teacher, I have the goal that my students can converse better and although the focus of this university is technical, I always give more than what is asked of me because naturally I want my students to be able to advance much faster. And would you like me to teach you English?
Since I was a child I have loved English, and I was always like a weirdo in my family for liking a language that I didn't understand at first but that I love to listen to. My family was always very Caribbean and with very tropical habits and that in my adolescence I listened to rock in English or pop in English was really particular. But that always stood out to me among many groups, not only in the family environment but also academically, and at work.
Today I make my living among other things with English and I love it. The only thing I still need to do is to travel and I hope to do it very soon. Wish me luck!
