It was the second day of our summer vacation. We took a side trip to Guimaras Island. We never expected to encounter an unexpected activity, the Mango Eat-All-You-Can. The trip to Guimaras Island was already meaningful, but this unplanned experience added a sweet surprise to our journey. image.png

I never thought I'd be a part of the Mango Festival, but there I was celebrating the occasion with the locals and some tourists from different places.

Our goal was simply to take pictures of this"🥭GUIMARAS" landmark and its iconic mango structure.

When we arrived at the site, there was already a lively crowd. Intrigued.... we investigated and, ..... hoooray, the activity will start soon. We were so lucky that we were able to get slots.

We waited in line for about 30 minutes before the mango-eat-all-you-can was set to begin. The event was simple: an all-you-can-eat mango feast that lasted only one hour.

Once the signal was given, we tried one or two mangoes just to taste the sweetness. The mangoes were served on plates made from native materials —maybe rattan or bamboo or perhaps another local resource from the island. But it perfectly matched the festival’s authentic vibe. Though we could have stayed longer to enjoy more, we only spent about 15 minutes at the event. We decided to leave to continue exploring the remaining exhibits at the event. After leaving the mango festival area, we wandered among the nearby stalls. The booths were filled with all kinds of mango products—crispy mango chips, refreshing mango wine, dried mango treats, and fresh mango smoothies. The colorful arrangements were almost like little works of art, and I couldn’t resist snapping some photos. Aesthetics Beautiful Mountain Mood Photo Collage.png Before heading off, we stopped to buy some t-shirts and pasalubong—gifts to bring home for our friends and family. It was the perfect way to carry a piece of the festival spirit with us. image.png Though our time at the Mango Festival was brief, it left a lasting impression. The sweetness of the mangoes, the lively atmosphere, and the warmth of the community all made it a spontaneous highlight of our trip.
