Hiya!
I'm back!... and with more fun art. Surprise!!... right?.... ummmm .... no....๐
ok, ok...
As per usual, I've been playing in my painted papers. I keep thinking I am going to do a painting or two with no collage like I used to do before the painted papers showed up, but so far, that hasn't gotten past a thought. Maybe later.
For a while on this one, I had the three warm colored pieces of paper laying together, knowing one day I would make something with them, but in my mind, it was always just going to be warm colors. Then a couple nights ago I took those pieces and began and the center piece that has a little blue on it was just laying there, so I laid on top and..... then I thought, well, maybe there could be a tiny piece that doesn't quite go and that would make it fun. As you can see though, it didn't stop there and before I called it done, two more cool colored pieces joined in.
I always have a start idea, but there is never truly any telling how it will end.

I made this one last night. I cut that blue arrow out of a book a week ago to try it on something else, changed my mind and it had floated around the table since then. I didn't know it was going on this piece either, but after the rest was glued on, I picked it up, laid it on the top and decided that it fit there nicely. Now it is a permanent resident.
What is it pointing at? I don't know, something off to the side. Maybe it's a clue in a mystery, where you have to find something by reading the clues in the art on the walls.

This one may look a little familiar. It is the one I showed before where I just had the loose papers laying together and had not glued anything down. I made a boo boo though when I was putting it together, lame brain that I am at times, originally it was only supposed to have that big, almost crescent yellow piece of music and the medium sized shard of the same paper that is closer to the bottom right. When I went to glue the background strips down, I cut a little off of one. Later, when I went to add the accents or accessories as I sometime like to call them, I glued the bigger yellow piece on first and matched it to the design where it had been on the prior test and glued it right down. Shortly, I realized that it changed where it was on the piece because I had cut that background piece shorter DO"H!!!! That made it show higher up on the piece and skewed the space that was left and I no longer thought just the two yellows would be balanced, so I had to add in some smaller bits of yellow here and there, including the elongated yellow circle to make it work for me. The balance still may be a little wonky, but, oh well !

This one is just a little paper bonus, maybe 4.5 x 4.5'ish. A few posts back I had written something down and then said I was going to throw it away, but then caught myself and said I was going to paint it and use it instead. Part of that is the yellow/orange background here.
You do remember ALL that I say in these posts.... right ???

Good thing there is no test I'm thinking. ha ha
So I took the main three above back to my art table right before I loaded the photos for this post to take a group shot.

While I was there, putting these on phone holders, I saw the below additional square piece of paper with the multicolored circles on it and I thought "Hey! That looks like it should go on this piece I've been photographing as completed".... so I laid it there and took a photo so I could think about it. I didn't glue it down so I could spend a little time being wishy-washy about it, but I think it might become permanent. We'll see what happens later I guess.
