Here's my process in cutting rose stems and replanting them. I have been aiming to grow more roses so I can continue my activities on pressing flowers.

Does it work?

I think they're growing, I am not sure if that is a new stem or root which is growing but that definitely is something.

My pressed flowers

these flowers were the very first set I pressed, they have quickly discolored in around 5 months because I pressed them wrong. How? I pressed them when they were damp, the thing is, they need to be completely dry and need to be pressed for two weeks. I only pressed them for one week. I hope that my next batches of pressed flowers will retian color. 121462395_4526954720679402_554002035405517291_n.jpg?_nc_cat=102&_nc_sid=ae9488&_nc_ohc=LL_Qko6t9RsAX--7ELd&_nc_ht=scontent.fceb1-1.fna&tp=7&oh=235b677d75ac30c0eec2b9e2c96be6ec&oe=5FAC09C7

some roses are still light but you can also see some which have really dark centers.

Damp flowers?

What I did was wipe the petals with tissue paper to dry every part, then press them, leaving them to dry felt too long and would cause the flower to look more frail and limp so I tried that.

PLANTING STEMS

Here are the pictures! 121437785_365954398090755_2223066893541336243_n.jpg?_nc_cat=102&_nc_sid=ae9488&_nc_ohc=XJG9yU4kAGYAX-uxU8s&_nc_oc=AQnAlZkHuqzBw2EKP93mNuZotL8Ce2U9NOlna3IE1wRGlk_u8wCOfW95lNRGZNSamx4&_nc_ht=scontent.fceb1-1.fna&tp=6&oh=5fdf7ab9af7159070e6da48ae4526c53&oe=5FAB2116

Our rose plants are very small and thin, kind of miniature so these are all I got. 121388290_780493649187299_6695706381572130921_n.jpg?_nc_cat=103&_nc_sid=ae9488&_nc_ohc=ua4FT7gCjS8AX9lzG48&_nc_oc=AQn2YA_53xY_ExWXfdfzg4DWBW_DogikXDiiSTG11-BWtU8oM9KzA0rKgoE3QMtDEbA&_nc_ht=scontent.fceb1-1.fna&tp=6&oh=c6cf439ad11e303a351785d8e50d4ba9&oe=5FAA943F

You just cover with a plastic bottle Always keep the soil damp, not soaking wet, water a bit every now and then but make sure it drains well too.

I planted over 40 rose stems

I havent even covered the holes of one bottle. I need tape!

Hopefully they will grow. I am sure some may not, it depends. But that is something we shall find out!
