I'm @jadeneywrites but you can call me ken instead, I visited my mom last week since they have an event a "Buwan Ng Wika" not all department but in elementary grade level and my mom are a teacher in the school. And that school is my old school yeah. And the reason why I'll go in that school is not about the event but it's about my mom, because she is the Master of Ceremonies (MC) of the event. I'll get excited because for the first time I saw my mom being an Mc the person who hosts, introduces speakers or performers, and keeps an event flowing smoothly.

Back to the event, the flow of their events are so nice and there are so many performances prepared by each department. Some students presented traditional dances, others performed spoken poetry and songs that highlight our culture. The stage was full of colors with everyone wearing their Filipiniana and Barong Tagalog, making the celebration more lively.

The teachers also joined in, showing their talents and supporting the students, which made the atmosphere even more fun. The theme of the “Buwan ng Wika” really came alive through the activities, reminding us how important it is to value our language and traditions. It was such a joyful event that not only celebrated Filipino culture but also brought everyone together as one community.

At the end of the program, awards were given to the winners, and everyone clapped and cheered. It was not just an ordinary school activity it felt like a celebration of identity and pride. For me, it was extra special because I saw my mom confidently lead the entire event as the MC. It made me proud as her child, and it made the whole “Buwan ng Wika” unforgettable.

That's all for today I hope you'll enjoy my short blog.
