Khammam Ghani,🙏 Hope you all are doing great!
In today's blog I will show how I painted a man and women in Rajasthani traditional wear over a cardboard. Last Sunday I was looking something online and I suddenly saw this cardboard where everything is drawn already and it's in shape you just have to paint it. I found it quite interesting and wanted to paint cause I have never done such thing before so has a detail tutorial of the colours that I have choose one and how I painted so stay tunned to know more.
This is what I received and it is a lady drawn on cardboard with perfect shape, the cardboard was not very thick and the quality was great actually. Why decided to paint them with the help of watercolors.
He is a picture of man with turbon and long moustache and I must say the shades are quite interesting. In the impressed me as the shape be it women or the man, the shape is proper and as soon as I saw it I want to paint them both.
These are the watercolors that I have used I know if the palette is quite messy I guess it's the sign of a true artist or painter.
These are the two paint brushes that I have used to paint it. I have taken random paint brushes I don't think there was a need to be more specific it was not that difficult to paint and it doesn't have any small details in it. Now the very important question that was in a front of me was which colour should I use I was so worried about it that I literally tried imagining all colours. Finally I came to the very basic colours that I have seen most couples wearing an these are the bold colours and they look good as well. Finally I started to paint with the colours that I have imagine on my head.
Started with the turban and painted it green and just too much the outfit with the lady I also painted the blouse of the women with the same colour so that at the end they both love god together.
It was time to pay in the costume of the man so I was really thinking to paint it cream at first and I did it but I realise that it doesn't make any difference over the cardboard it was literally looking the same so to make it a visible to you all and also to give it more depth and life started to paint it with yellow colour.
Now about this colour of saree I was thinking to paint it pink at first but the same issue it wasn't visible clearly and also I thought to make it more bold so I painted it with red and sad and it really looked stunning.
Painting is like a therapy and those who know can relate to it, helps you to calm down and it also clears your mind. During childhood I was so much into painting and staff that I used to clear my schedule to paint twice in a week and also I was proud of my painting as well. Now as I have grown up I literally have no time to paint but sometime when I do it reminds me the younger me, I used to paint with joy and with whole heart. I guess it's a part of growing up but I also think that whatever bring you a man's joy please and love you should never quit it do it doesn't matter you have to do it excellently, just do it for your own sake.
Finally with experimenting with colour and at first painting the hair red cause I thought it would be the dupatta or the saree it lite so I decided to painted black and look how a magical it turned.
Painting it I tried to give the final touch to it by outlining it with black colour and it enhance the look within no time it was the only thing missing.
Finally I complete it and it took me around 40 minutes to do it cause I was really struggling with the colours at first and I also wanted it to look so good, so yeah I found the process to be very satisfying and would recommend into everybody for loves to paint or even for a beginner it's good sometime it good to let your inner child out.
And yeah that's not just it, I was so happy with the results that I literally pasted the couple over the wall of my room and here's a picture. Hear the couple has joined both their hands and its a to great someone in India and we call it Namaste.
Hope you liked it. See you soon
