It passes through 11 states: California, Nevada, Utah, Wyoming, Nebraska, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey
I-80 follows much of the historic Lincoln Highway, the first transcontinental highway in the U.S.
It also traces parts of iconic trails such as the Oregon and Mormon Trails.
