My first pet : A little turtle named 'Linda' [Eng-Esp]

Hi community, I am excited to join you and share my first post about the first pet that my little sister and I have, it is a little turtle that we have named "Linda" although we don't know yet if it is male or female. >Hola comunidad estoy emocionado de unirme a ustedes y compartir mi primera publicación sobre la primera mascota que mi hermanita y yo tenemos, se trata de una tortuguita que le hemos dado el nombre de "Linda" aunque aún no sabemos si es macho o hembra.  We are very excited to be able to have a pet, at my age is the first time we have one, because in our house there is no space for animals and pet options didn't seem fair to have them at home in cages as is the case of a bird, so Linda is perfect for us, although I still want dog hehe. >Estamos muy emocionados de poder tener una mascota, a mi edad es la primera vez que tenemos una, porque en nuestra casa no hay espacio para animales y las opciones de mascotas no nos parecía justo tenerlas en casa en jaulas como es el caso de un pájaro, así que linda es perfecta para nosotros, aunque todavía quiero perro jeje.  *** ### How did she come into our lives? A friend of my parents had this turtle, but she had not been with her for a long time, so she had been looking for someone to give it to, and she decided to give it to us, especially to my sister because of her special condition and her love for animals. >##### ¿Como llego a nuestras vidas? >Una amiga de mis padres tenía esta tortuga, pero no llevaba mucho tiempo con ella y por eso como ella llevaba tiempo buscando a quien se la podía regalar, y decidió regalarnosla a nosotros, especialmente a mi hermana por su condición especial y su amor por los animales.  *** Then one day she came with us and gave her to us with the name "Linda", my sister was immediately happy, since this is the first pet we ever had. We have been with her for about four weeks now and it has been a very nice experience for my sister and my family because she is also my first pet. My sister is very attached to her and tries to take care of her as best as she can, along with my help and my mom's help. ### A curious anecdote My mom and my sister don't like her to be locked up, so they take the turtle out to the backyard so she can walk more freely, and obviously they keep an eye on her, right? >Entonces un día vino con nosotros y nos la regaló con el nombre de: "Linda", mi hermana inmediatamente se alegró, ya que está es la primera mascota que algunas vez hemos tenido. Ya llevamos como cuatro semanas con ella y ha sido una experiencia muy bonita para mí hermana y mi familia porque también es mi primera mascota. Mi hermana es muy apegada a ella y trata de cuidarla lo mejor posible, junto con mi ayuda y la de mi mamá. >##### Una anécdota curiosa >A mí mamá y mi hermana como no les gusta que esté encerrada, sacan a la tortuga al patio para que ella pueda caminar más libremente, y obviamente están pendientes de ella, supuestamente.  One day they took it out to the yard as usual, but after a while my mom had to go into the house and my sister also went inside leaving the turtle outside, after a while they realized it was gone. My sister got very scared, and they started to look for it and in fact they asked me for help. After a while of looking for her we found her out of some bags that were in a corner of the yard, hahaha. >Un día la sacaron al patio como siempre, pero después de un rato mi mamá tuvo que entrar a la casa y mi hermana también entró dejando a la tortuga afuera, luego de un rato se dieron viaje que no estaba. Mi hermana se asustó mucho, y empezaron a buscarla y de hecho me pidieron ayuda. Después de un rato de buscar la encontramos destas de unas bolsas que estaban en una esquina del patio jajaja.  I thought that would be the only time it would happen, well no, two days later she got lost again, we searched again, this time without success, she had been lost for a long time, we had looked for her inside the house and we couldn't even find her, I had given her up for lost, I thought she had gone to the street and we were not going to find her, after a long time my mom decided to look under the bed and the turtle was there hahaha. >Pensé que esa seria la unica vez que pasaría, pues no, dos días después se volvió a perder, volvimos a buscar, está vez sin éxito, tenía ya mucho rato perdida, la habíamos buscado dentro de la casa incluso y no la encontramos, ya la había dado por perdida, creía que se había ido para la calle y no la íbamos a encontrar, después de mucho rato mi mamá se le ocurrió buscar debajo de la cama y la tortuga estaba allí jajaja.
