"What should we have for dinner tonight?" My colleague asked earlier today, as we landed in the Ninoy Aquino International Airport for a work trip.
"Let's explore a new restaurant we all haven't tried yet. Definitely one that can't be found in Cebu." Another colleague said.
It was a rainy evening that day and we were all tired from a long work day. But we were determined to make the most out of our time in Manila. Fortunately, we found this Thai restaurant near our hotel that looks promising.
Browsing from their brochure, this restaurant claimed to have been featured in Tatler magazine as one of the winners of a food competition. "They must be authentic Thai foods", I thought to myself.
We queued in line for a few minutes but thankfully the line was fast moving. We were able to grab a seat in no time.
Since we haven't tried this restaurant yet, we seek for the help of their staff to guide us in what to order. What I looked forward to the most was their mango sticky rice- what Thai's are known for.
The Tom Yum soup was truly a delight perfect for the cold weather. We specifically instructed the staff for a mild spicy level since none of us are so much into spicy foods. The pad Thai, Krapow, and tamarind shrimp were equally delicious!
By the time we finished the main dishes, our stomachs were full- but not too full for a dessert. We then asked the waiter to serve our mango sticky rice. And I swear it's the tastiest mango sticky rice I've ever had!
To say that we all enjoyed the meal is an understatement. We went back to our hotel with our hearts and stomach full. Definitely will recommend this restaurant!
That's it for today's blog. See you in my next one!
Sending some love and light
