1000020624.jpg 1000020620.jpg Last weekend, I joined our annual Moon Dice Game, one of the most awaited events during the Moon Festival celebration. For those who haven’t heard of it, the Moon Dice Game (also called Pua Tiong Chiu) is a traditional Chinese dice game played every Mid-Autumn Festival. It’s both fun and thrilling because everyone has a chance to win prizes depending on the dice combinations they roll. The game uses six dice and a porcelain bowl, and each combination corresponds to a specific prize rank—from the grand “Champion” prize all the way down to the smaller ones. It’s part luck, part excitement, and 100% joy. 1000020626.jpg 1000020622.jpg Every year, I join this game not because I’m after the big prize, but because it’s such a lively, laughter-filled tradition. The room is always full of cheers, clinking dice, and that electric moment of suspense when everyone waits to see what the dice reveal. 1000020627.jpg 1000020631.jpg 1000020608.jpg I’ll admit—luck has never really been on my side. Last year, for instance, I didn’t win any of the top prizes. My final haul? Five small packs of fresh milk! It wasn’t much, but honestly, I still felt happy to take something home. It’s the spirit of the game that matters—the friendly competition and the shared laughter among friends and family.

This year, though, fortune smiled a little brighter. I managed to win some pretty good stuff—pistachio spread, a few bags of Lays and chips, and even a monoblocks chair! Not bad at all compared to last time. Everyone had a good laugh about how I finally leveled up from milk packs to actual snacks and furniture. 1000020635.jpg At the end of the day, it’s not really about who wins the grand prize. The Moon Dice Game is all about the fun, the bonding, and the happy chaos that comes with every roll. Win or lose, I’ll definitely be back again next year—ready to roll the dice and make more memories.

That's it for today's blog. See you in my next one!

Sending some love and light

With love, Jane
