As mentioned in my previous blogs, our company have activities in place for our wellness. A quarterly budget is provided to employees for yoga, running, badminton, hiking, board games, etc. employees must only have to form a group of 5 people for the activity to be valid. This quarter, I signed up for the yoga club as my current hobby.
The second close to my wellness choice is Creative Hands club, a club about arts and anything that expresses it. I'm a left handed person but unfortunately, I can't draw or paint. However, I do feel I'm creative in some other ways like blogging, cooking, or gardening. I believe that everything is a form of art, depending on the beholder.
Last week, the arts club had their first session in the pantry office- painting by numbers. It's a concept wherein the materials given is a canvas with drawings, each part has a number and a corresponding paint color. Truly a great way to destress.
Everyone is given different forms, by the way. Some are difficult, while other materials are easy. I personally love the unicorn design, but it's also one of the most tedious. Perhaps this should be done in several sessions.
We didn't finish the painting in one setting since its quite tedious (in a good way), and the sole purpose of this activity is not to rush to complete the painting but to enjoy the process of it.
While painting, they also provided some snacks to compliment our artistic therapy.
Next week, they have pottery class and I'm planning to join them. Since I'm a non-member, I have to pay for my own expense. Nevertheless, I'm willing to pay for the cost of this experience.
That's it for today's blog. See you In my next one!
Sending some love and light
With love, Jane
