(ESP-ENG) Who would be the top anime villains? - Review!

Villains or antagonists are an essential part of the story of any anime. I'd say some are even more important or memorable than many of the "good" characters. It's impossible to pigeonhole them all in a single review, but here we'll try to talk about the ones that, in my opinion, are at the top. Since I haven't seen every anime, I'm sure some that deserve to be included will be left out, so I apologize immediately if I leave out one that's obvious. Generally, most villains are that way by nature, but there are others who life itself led down the path they're on. These are the ones in particular who should be given more "respect."

When I was talking about villains created by life itself, I was referring to something similar to Johan. I think he's one of the most Machiavellian minds in anime, a guy who had no power whatsoever and still caused tremendous chaos. And all of this thanks to his obsession with someone. It's clear that Liebert's intelligence was far superior, but at the same time, he was a cruel and twisted psychopath with the ability to control everything that happened around him, so yes, he was even a sociopath. I think the most disturbing thing is his appearance; he radiated a kind of sympathy and charisma, even having childlike features that hide his cruelty and the slightest remorse for anything or anyone. Without a doubt, Johan is one of the worst villains anyone can see, both in the manhwa and in the comics.

Something happens with Meruem, and yes, this being despises and hates the human race and is responsible for I don't know how many deaths, but as soon as he meets a simple girl, Komugi, something in him changes. Komougi is a blind girl who, paradoxically, teaches Meruem to see things differently, which is why this being's way of acting and thinking gradually changes. That is, over time, he becomes less evil. I put him on this list because sometimes being a villain doesn't just translate into the degree of evil or what you end up doing, but in the development as a character that he experiences in the story, and what we see with Meruem is very significant. As a character, I repeat, he is very complex and excellently structured.

Griffith is hated because he's a selfish man with a heart full of darkness. The twists and turns of life also ruined this man, who was initially loved and praised, but one day all the hatred and resentment changed him forever. He bears some resemblance to Anakin Skywalker, if we look closely. A kind of plot twist occurs in his story that forces him to sacrifice everything that once mattered to him: friends and his army. The surprising thing is that he does it without any remorse, all in order to achieve his darkest dream. Berserk is a very good anime, a medieval story where the characters are the center of almost the entire plot, and one of them, without a doubt, is Griffith.

Lo sorprendente es que lo hace sin ningún tipo de remordimiento, todo con la finalidad de conseguir su más oscuro sueño. At first, I said that villains can be the most relevant characters in an anime, and I think that's exactly what happens with Askeladd in the first season of Vinland Saga. This man is the murderer of one of the most relevant and important characters in this universe, and for that reason alone he should be considered a good villain, but it's all the layers this guy has and the ones we get to know that make him truly despicable. As the season progresses, we see how calculating he is and the great amount of hatred he harbors within him, in addition to the true plans he has in mind. All of this helps us understand his motivations a little more. I think Askeladd is very top-notch on a personality level and ultimately becomes the best character in the anime.

Este hombre es el asesino de uno de los personajes más relevantes e importantes de este universo, ya solo por eso tendría que ser considerado un buen villano pero son todas las capas que este tipo tiene y que vamos conociendo lo que lo hacen realmente despreciable. Conforme va avanzando la temporado vamos viendo lo calculador que es y la gran cantidad de odio que hay en su interior además de los verdaderos planes que tiene pensados. Todo esto ayuda a entender un poco más sus motivaciones. I think the great conqueror of planets can't be left out of any villain list. Many of us know him as an incredibly cruel being who never shows a hint of goodness or light in his heart. For me, he's the purest embodiment of evil. Cold and violent like no other, Frieza is the best villain in the Dragon Ball universe. Not to mention how vengeful he is. Few villains embody the role of a despicable being as well as Goku's arch-enemy. Finally, as special mentions, I'd like to mention Madara Uchiha, Eren, and even Light Yagami from Death Note for his character's metamorphosis. Are any missing? If so, let me know in the comments.
