Hello Dear Hivers,

As I’m getting ready for this fun run, I understand that training isn’t just about showing up on the day—it’s about preparing ahead of time, both physically and mentally. By jogging regularly after I finish my work, I’m building stamina, strengthening my cardiorespiratory system, and getting used to moving when I might already be tired. This helps simulate what the fun‑run event will feel like: early morning or after work, when the body is already a bit fatigued but still needs to perform. I focus on those deep breaths—breathing in fresh air, filling my lungs fully, exhaling completely—to help increase the amount of oxygen that gets into my bloodstream, to power my muscles, and to help me recover faster. ![Image 1](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/jaylasola/23tRxtK6J5iAk48fj9XpyJoRk2AgQKoCqBvAP6BuFwpmMk7wxVf4bD8f2JcggEirx4muf.jpeg) When you take part in a fun run, your body uses more energy than usual, your heart rate elevates, your muscles work harder, and you sweat more. All of these processes use water, electrolytes, and nutrients from your body. That’s why drinking fluids like Pocari is so important: it helps replace the water and salts you lose through sweat. Without adequate hydration, you might feel dizzy, fatigued, weak, or even risk cramps or heat‑related issues. So I make sure to drink enough after each jogging session and keep in mind how much I ought to drink before the actual event. ![Image 2](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/jaylasola/23tGXhRDiwLGckdjQagUmxpHfEV2G1G4kgfGhfeVPj6BRCxDGMEf2ySz1Pc5zxiC5KTSv.jpeg) ![Image 3](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/jaylasola/23tRxoc3e6ZnMP58yvtkWQJA5NNRXcDuwhpECQaZnMu4321cJmR9ELefgP37YffjZKjJH.jpeg) As the fun run day approaches, I’ll plan my pacing strategy too—starting slower, staying consistent, and finishing strong, rather than going all‑out from the start and burning out halfway. I’ll also check the weather, the route, and what gear I’ll need: the right shoes, comfortable clothing, maybe a cap or sunglasses if it’s sunny, and of course a bottle of Pocari or another hydration drink, knowing exactly when and how much I’ll sip. ![Image 4](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/jaylasola/23ywu7wxohzSFyKve9YLyNe8xRowxCwSTvbZxqvNSg9ZyMuiGrtoMTYcVpAYwrKN8CGEE.jpeg) I’m looking forward not only to the fun part of running with others and enjoying the atmosphere, but also to seeing the progress I make in my own fitness. Every jog after work is a step closer to feeling ready, confident, and energized. And when the day comes, with my lungs full of fresh air, my body hydrated and prepared, I believe I’ll cross the finish line with a smile. Thank you dear Hivers for taking the time to read. See you on my next blog.
