You know those days where you get plenty of steps just because you’re moving around and getting things done?
I had one of those days. It started with hosting a brunch in the late morning. With a house full of pets (three cats and a dog, making my house presentable involves three levels of cleaning — an initial pass to get the top level of pet hair, another pass to actually clean, and yet another pass to get everything organized, tidy and back in place.
But everyone had fun, and I always love it when my house is freshly cleaned and tidied.
The next event was an evening dinner — celebrating the birthday of one of my relatives. So, between brunch and dinner I dashed out for a shopping trip to get some things for a gift basket. I don’t know about you, but I love shopping trips because it involves a lot of walking.
Dinner was great, by the way. I had a crab cake appetizer for my meal.
And the final event of the day was a neighborhood get-together at the home of some friends who have a pool, and a really nice bar and entertainment area next to it. I’m not sure how many steps I got at the party, but I was strolling around and chatting with everyone.
It was a very busy, fun and active day overall!
