So here’s how I record steps while kayaking. I know we are all about steps here in Actifit. But behind that is the goal to move every day, and so I believe kayaking qualifies. What I do is I wear my phone (which is also my step tracker) in my pants pocket. And the movement of the kayak with each pull of my paddle registers as steps!
On this particular outing, I was with my sister. We have a local lake that has a picnic area and a nice playing beach for the kids, and it’s super easy to put the kayaks in there.
It was a gorgeous day. It still feels like summer right now as the days are warm and sunny and the fall colors have not gone full scale yet, as you can tell by looking at the trees behind me in the next picture. In a few weeks, those trees will be brilliant yellow and orange.
I can’t help taking pics when I’m out on the water. Boats, kayaks, and lily pads all look so picturesque on the lake.
Thank you for visiting!
