Haven’t battled in a while, but I couldn’t resist when I came across this gem, Iziar, one of the most underrated support monsters in the game right now.
In Splinterlands, Iziar is a Legendary Life monster known for her Martyr ability—a powerful buff mechanic that can turn a losing match around. The moment she falls in battle, all nearby monsters get a +1 boost to Magic, Health, and Speed. That’s no small bonus, especially in Silver and Gold leagues, where smart positioning makes all the difference.
Iziar is more than just a support unit—she’s a tactical sacrifice. You can place her in the second position to catch early splash damage or under Blast or Opportunity rulesets to trigger Martyr early. Combine her with Time Mage, Pelacor Arbalest, or Adelade Brightwing, and suddenly your team hits harder, lasts longer, and moves faster.
She shines in low-mana battles and rule sets like Equalizer and Wands Out, where her presence can boost fragile backliners into serious threats that opponents can’t ignore.
Iziar may be quiet, but she’s fierce and she doesn’t need to survive to change the outcome of a match.
Try her in your next lineup, you might just be surprised.
