Hi everyone! It’s Monday and I began my week in the garden. Yesterday I went to church and took a rest, and today I am back to give an update about my plants.

Last Saturday I was busy because we harvested chili. But before I went to the farm, I walked around to see my flower friends. They are like people that I can talk to and I told them I hope their flowers will grow more.

Do you also get excited when you see something new or unusual in your plants?

Marigolds are also used in traditional medicine. In some places, the petals are made into tea or ointment to help with simple skin problems, wounds or stomach issues. The flowers are edible too and are sometimes used as decoration in food. Aside from their beauty, marigolds are also useful in the garden. As farmers and gardeners, we like this flower because it helps keep away insects and pests. Their flowers are also used in making natural dyes and herbal remedies. In many cultures, marigolds are a symbol of sun, brightness and new beginnings.

Now, this is what I noticed in my garden. There are already many branches. It’s really nice to see this. I got this plant from a friend in church and I’m glad I was able to grow it like this. Some plants just do better when planted directly in the ground instead of a pot.

This plant used to be very thin and was damaged during the hot season, but thankfully it has recovered. The rain really helped it a lot. I hope it will grow even more so I can sell it along with my other plants. This one is especially cute because it looks like a little bouquet.

I might not be able to clean my garden Next week because I have some papers to take care of on the land. I feel a bit worried but I hope I can check on my plants whenever I have time. Even if I’m busy I am happy to see them growing.

One day, I wasn’t at home. My neighbor told me that someone was asking if I sell flowers. I felt happy and inspired to hear that. I’ve actually been thinking about selling them too, because many people have asked me before.

The Golden Shrimp or Lollipop Plant grows naturally in warm and tropical places. The bright yellow bracts are often connected with happiness and good energy. Many people use it to decorate parks, churches and gardens because it is attractive and not hard to maintain. It does not require much fertilizer. Its flowers also attract butterflies and bees, which are good for the garden’s health.

That’s all for my story today. See you in my next blog. God bless us all!
