We're returning to the horror genre with a film I thoroughly enjoyed. How so? Yes, you read that right, it's a lot of fun. It's a film where every appearance of the villain is a joy. On the one hand, I was hesitant to see it because one of the main actors is Jai Courtney, an actor I don't like that much. I think I only liked him in his small role in the first season of Spartacus, where his character was killed off. On the other hand, his participation in Suicide Squad is, in my opinion, disastrous. What motivated me to give the film a chance was the director. I loved Sean Byrne's first film, The Loved Ones, that crazy movie where a teenager's parents kidnap and torture the young man who rejected her. It was quite a gory film, but also full of humor, which I thoroughly enjoyed. The director also has another film, The Devil's Candy, which is visually fascinating, but I liked the first one better. The filmmaker once again effectively combines horror, gore, and unpleasantness with dark humor. The result is a film that invites you to have a good time, enjoying every scene and every plot twist it has in store. Although these twists can become a bit tiresome as we approach the end, that doesn't stop us from enjoying the story and, especially, Tucker, the sailor played by Jai Courtney. ---- > Volvemos al género de terror con una película que disfruté muchísimo. ¿Cómo? Me encantó Sean Byrne con su primera película, The Loved Ones. Esa película alocada donde los padres de una adolescente secuestran y torturan al joven que la rechazó. Era una película bastante sangrienta, pero a la vez, llena de humor, que disfruté mucho. El director también tiene otra película, The Devil's Candy, visualmente fascinante, pero me gustó más la primera. > El cineasta vuelve a combinar con eficacia el terror, la sangre y lo desagradable con el humor negro. El resultado es una película que te invita a pasarla bien, disfrutar de cada escena y cada giro argumental que nos tiene reservado. Aunque estos giros pueden resultar un poco cansinos al acercarnos al final, eso no nos impide disfrutar de la historia y, en especial, de Tucker, el marinero interpretado por Jai Courtney.

The actor has found a character that fits him perfectly. Tucker is a son of a bitch. He's a disgusting bastard. He's repulsive. It's impossible not to look at him and feel disgusted. You can smell his stench across the screen. And that's precisely what I liked most about the film. From now on, I really like the actor. Tucker is truly the most dangerous animal. Nothing to do with sharks. They're simple beings who act on instinct. On the other hand, animals like Tucker are monstrous predators, because what they do is only to satisfy the worst in their souls. Although it can all be justified by some past trauma, and he has been doing so for quite some time, until he happens to encounter Zephyr, the heroine of the story, played by Hassie Harrison. Visually, he's also enjoyable, not just because of his gore. The Australian landscapes where the story is set look very beautiful, which makes it even more terrifying, because in the middle of that blue sea and sunny sky, dangerous and hungry animals lurk. I recommend watching the film. It's a simple entertainment product, but if you like the genre, this movie is a good choice. It's best not to watch the trailer, as it spoils the villain's introduction scene. Los paísajes australianos donde se ambienta la historia se ven muy hermosos, lo que le da un toque aún más aterrador, porque en medio de ese mar azul y cielo soleado, acechan animales peligrosos y hambrientos. > Recomiendo ver la película. Es un producto de entretenimiento simple, pero si te gusta el género, esta película es una buena opción.
