Recommended Podcast: Lo Que Tu Digas

Continuing with my podcast recommendations, I present one I've been following for quite some time and whose evolution I've seen within the podcast format on YouTube. It's hosted by a young journalist named Alex Fidalgo, who, thanks to his accent, is clearly Galician. I think I started following his channel when I listened to one of his podcasts with a Spanish filmmaker; I don't remember the exact date. Back then, he uploaded the audio of his podcast to YouTube. He didn't appear on camera; it was just the audio recording, it was a real podcast. Over time, it began to evolve into a video podcast, with him appearing on camera, so the conversation with the interviewee was done via video call. The next step was to have the guest in a kind of studio, which looked more like his home. There wasn't much decoration and just white walls. As his content gained followers and became more popular, he moved up the ranks on the set. Then he moved to another room, with more decor, books, etc., although it still retained a simple look, until we arrived at the studio where he currently records, and we've also seen an upgrade in the equipment. Creo que empecé a seguir su canal cuando escuché uno de sus podcasts con un cineasta español; no recuerdo la fecha exacta. > En aquel entonces, subió el audio de su podcast a YouTube. El no salia en cámara; era solo la grabación de audio, era un podcast real. Con el tiempo, empezó a convertirse en un videopodcast, con él apareciendo ante la cámara, por lo que la conversacion con el entrevistado se hacía por videollamada. El siguiente paso fue tener al invitado en una especie de estudio, que se parecía más a su casa. No había mucha decoración y solo paredes blancas. > A medida que su contenido ganaba seguidores y se hacía más popular, fue ascendiendo de categoría en el set. Luego se mudó a otra habitación, con más decoración, libros, etc., aunque aún conservaba un aspecto sencillo, hasta que llegamos al estudio donde graba actualmente, y también hemos visto una mejora en el equipo. Se nota que siempre busca mejorar.

I like his style of leading conversations with guests. He asks a lot of questions, and even when he's not entirely convinced by a topic, he continues to probe so the guest can explain more. He's a good professional who thoroughly investigates both the guest and the topic. His years of experience have further refined his expertise, and his experience in mainstream radio also confirms this. He's had a large number of guests of all kinds. Imagine any topic and any profession, and this one had a guest who covers it all. It was difficult to choose which episodes to recommend, as I've seen quite a few and like many of his guests. First, I'll leave you with the episode featuring Spanish criminologist Vicente Garrido. This guest is an authority in the field of forensic science and a pleasure to listen to. In addition to Vicente Garrido, I've read several of his books: The Criminal Mind, The Psychopath, The Integrated Psychopath, Faces of Evil, and Exquisite Crimes. This is a topic that fascinates me: studying, analyzing, profiling, trying to decipher the minds of the worst criminals. It's a fascinating world, and this episode was fantastic. The guest explains a lot and tells us about several cases, giving his opinion based on his experience. --- --- > Me gusta su estilo para dirigir las conversaciones con los invitados. Hace muchas preguntas, e incluso cuando un tema no le convence del todo, sigue indagando para que el invitado pueda explicar más. Es un buen profesional que investiga a fondo tanto al invitado como a los temas. Sus años de experiencia han perfeccionado aún más su pericia, y su experiencia en la radio convencional también lo confirma. > Ha tenido una gran cantidad de invitados de todo tipo. Imaginen cualquier tema y cualquier profesión, y este ha tenido un invitado que lo abarca. Fue difícil elegir qué episodios recomendar, ya que he visto bastantes y me gustan muchos de sus invitados. > Primero les dejo con el episodio del criminólogo español Vicente Garrido. Este invitado es una autoridad en el campo de la ciencia forense y es un placer escucharlo. Además, de Vicente Garrido, he leído varios de sus libros: La Mente Criminal, El Psicópata, El Psicópata Integrado, Rostros del Mal y Crímenes Exquisitos. Este es un tema que me fascina: estudiar, analizar, crear perfiles, intentar descifrar las mentes de los peores criminales. Es un mundo fascinante, y este episodio fue fantástico. El invitado explica muchas cosas y nos cuenta varios casos, dando su opinión basada en su experiencia.

The second episode of this podcast I recommend is from about a year ago. Cristina Martín Jiménez was a guest on the podcast for the second time. She's a journalist and writer, and besides being a controversial figure, many consider her a conspiracy theorist. But she's steadfast in her investigations and presents enough evidence to make us question things and see some of the reality they want to hide from us. The first time she was on this podcast, it was a very successful episode. I think the pandemic and all the lies about it opened many people's eyes to realize that everything official sources were saying was lies. Time has proven those so-called conspiracy theorists right. I have several of her books digitally downloaded, but I haven't had time to read them. I have them on my phone, but unfortunately, I've spent little time reading books this year. I have that task pending, but I recommend watching this episode and doing your own research on all the topics she covers. It's a very good episode; don't miss it. At least I hope that if you watch it, it achieves its goal of making you question many of the things that are happening. From time to time, Alex Fidalgo also hosts and uploads debates and meetings on a specific topic with a panel of guests on his channel. These episodes are very informative; I enjoy hearing diverse opinions. I hope you like this recommendation. Cristina Martín Jiménez fue invitada al podcast por segunda vez. Es periodista y escritora, y además de ser una figura controvertida, muchos la consideran una conspiranoica. Pero es firme en sus investigaciones y presenta suficientes pruebas para hacernos que nos cuestionemos las cosas y ver algo de la realidad que nos quieren ocultar. La primera vez que estuvo en este podcast, fue un episodio muy exitoso. Creo que la pandemia y todas las mentiras al respecto abrieron los ojos a mucha gente para que se dieran cuenta de que todo lo que decían las funtes oficiales eran mentiras. El tiempo les dio la razon a lso que llamaban conspiranoicos. Tengo varios de los libros escritos por ella descargados digitalmente, pero no he tenido tiempo de leerlos. Los tengo en mi teléfono, pero lamentablemente, he dedicado poco tiempo a leer libros este año. Tengo esa tarea pendiente, pero recomiendo ver este episodio e investigar por su cuenta todos los temas que aborda. Es un episodio muy bueno, no se lo pierdan. Al menos espero que si lo ven, logre el objetivo de hacerles cuestionar muchas de las cosas que suceden. > De vez en cuando, Alex Fidalgo también organiza y sube a su canal debates y reuniones sobre un tema específico con un panel de invitados.
