Last October 9 was a very special one for our family. My son, Sky, celebrated his 6th birthday, and when we asked him what he wanted as his gift, we were expecting toys, cars, monster trucks, or Bob the Train, but he smiled and said, “I want to go to Happiness Playground!”

After that simple birthday dinner at Vine, we proceeded to Happiness Playground in our own town, Molave, and it truly lived up to its name. The moment we walked in, Sky’s eyes grew wide with excitement and amazement. The bright lights, colorful games, and happy sounds of laughter filled that not-so-wide place. It was like stepping into a world made just for kids, filled with joy, color, and fun.

Sky ran straight to the motorcycle racing game. He held the handlebars, pretending he was on a real road and racing, and we all cheered him on. His laughter echoed through the arcade — the kind of laughter that every parent loves to hear. My husband joined him too, helping him with the controls, and I just stood there smiling, taking photos, and watching my boys have the best time together.

There were so many fun things to try, water shooting games, dancing machines, a huge ball pit, claw machines, a basketball machine, and more. They even have a little prize counter to redeem cute stuffed toys with accumulated tickets during the fun games. We didn’t realize how fast time passed. The whole place glowed with bright neon lights, and everywhere you looked, children were smiling and parents were laughing along.

Jeff, my son with autism, also enjoyed that fun-filled place. He had fun shooting balls in the basketball machine. We cheered him up, and we all knew that he was happy that night. The neon lights amazed him and stimulated his eyes. He didn't even want to go home, hahahahah, good thing he obeys us at times.

For Sky, this wasn’t just another playtime. It was his special day, and seeing how happy he was made us even happier. Sometimes, the simplest gifts are the best ones.

Before we left, Sky gave his father and me a big hug and said, “Thank you, Mama and Papa.” My heart melted right there. He is such a sweet, sweet boy, though he is naughty at times.💙

Happiness Playground is a beautiful little corner of joy where families can make wonderful memories, just like we did.
