I was fortunate enough to be given the opportunity to visit one of the region's popular resorts. It was all paid for and provided free of charge by our government agency, as I was one of the participants in a 5-day seminar. And it was unforgettable. My heart was filled with so much learning and so much warmth of the Christmas spirit.
It was the end of November last year. The place where the training was held was known for its vibrant, garden-themed resort with pools, lush landscaping, and playful structures. It was my first time visiting the place, and I wasn't expecting it to be that grand. A Christmas Grand theme met my eyes.
When we entered the tall gate, the world changed instantly at that moment! Christmas filled that big space, which was so stunning and mesmerizing. Anywhere you set your eyes, everything was filled with red, gold, green, and white. The Christmas music filled the place, which added so much charm that my heart leaped out with joy, which made me think of my kids at home. They would be leaping and rolling if they were going to see the place.
At the hotel lobby, I dropped my bags and checked in. I couldn't stop myself from turning my head from corner to corner. The lobby was filled with Christmas decorations. Everything, from the sofa to the fixtures, to tables and couches, was filled with grand Christmas decorations.
The next day, I got enough time to stroll around the place and took photo opportunities. I woke up early and was ready for day 2 of the seminar. Below are some of the pictures I took on that very early morning with my roommate, a new friend.

Madagascar, Chipmunks, and Minion-inspired sculptures that delight children and make for memorable photo ops.
Botanical and “Victorian-themed” gardens that contribute to Manuel's Resort charm. Giving serenity amidst the therapeutic beauty of nature.
Multiple swimming pools cater to both kids and adults, with different depths and unique layouts—like one encircling the adventure park. Actually, there are around 7 to 8 swimming pools in the resort with very unique layouts.
Amenities for adventurers include kayak rides, rope courses, wall climbing, zip-lining, bamboo tightrope crossings, and even rafting. But I haven't had time to take photos of these adventures because of the very tight schedule of our seminar. We usually went out from the hall at 7 or 8 in the evening, tired and just wanting to lie our backs on their soft beds.
A stone cave leading to a wooden footbridge filled with Christmas stuff. A perfect place not only for photo ops but also for meditating on the essence of Christmas and the beauty it brought to our lives.

White Christmas, twinkling lights, and the Belen.
Talking about the accommodation, the rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable. They offer family rooms for up to 8–10 guests, barkadahan rooms rentable by large groups (e.g., up to 20 people), Superior Deluxe, Garden View, Palm View, and Presidential Suites with varying amenities and views

It was then, I understood why Manuel's Resort is well-known in the whole region of Zamboanga Peninsula. They offer good food, comfort, peace, fun, and relaxation in one setting. Christmas is coming, and I am dreaming of bringing my family here. I could imagine how happy they will be.
As I look back on those five unforgettable days at Manuel’s Resort, I carry with me not just the lessons from the seminar but also the joy and serenity this place has brought into my heart. The vibrant Christmas displays, the peaceful gardens, and the warmth of the entire atmosphere reminded me of what the season is truly about—love, togetherness, and gratitude. Manuel’s Resort is more than just a destination; it is a sanctuary where memories are made and cherished. Someday, I hope to come back with my family, so they too can feel the magic that made me leap with joy and reminded me of the true spirit of Christmas.
