Digital communication has made it easy for partners to communicate to each other through video calls, face timer and Skype instead of the previous letter communication whereby it takes days for it to get to your partner, most times there isn't no reply till after several months.

I can remember when I was in school, my roommate was in a long distance relationship and she and her partner always talked by 2 am at night till dawn. It was their usual time everyday for a complete year.
You can imagine how it feels having someone laugh and talk for long hours. Sometimes you would be forced to wake up and when you don't even have anybody to talk to then you eardrops.
Sometimes when the calls start she will head to the kitchen to prepare food and eat in-between while making her call. Luckily she's married to the guy. I believe any relationship can work out if there is love and trust in both partners.
It's really amazing to have someone to share stuff with, talk about random things and still laugh over dry jokes.
Most times I ask my friend, what do you both really talk about that takes long hours. She would laugh and be like, you will soon get there.
There is this tik tok video I stumbled upon where a lady is making a love call, she was lying down but hangs her legs up doing random things that you be like have it reach to this extent.
Love is a beautiful thing especially if you find a partner who loves and is willing to sacrifice his time for you. People spend time on something that is valuable to them and it feels so amazing having someone who is willing to listen to you, cry on their shoulder, it doesn't matter if there is no shoulder available but a voice at the other end of the phone listening to every details and still gives you moral support and advice each time feels so good.
There is another tiktok video I stumbled into, it was a dinner date for this two lonely couple. Her partner was away so both of them planned the dinner date. Each person goes to their favorite restaurant. The guy went to his favorite restaurant with the girl. Firstly she did a video call showing her partner her outfit. He approves of it before heading out.
They order things for themselves with rose petals and candle light and eat the food throughout while still on video call. It doesn't matter the distance, you and your partner can really set up lovely dinner nights, picnics, gift exchange and more. Digital communication has made that possible and even if your partner is away, you can still feel their presence through digital means.
For me and my partner, we communicate almost every time. Most times if I really get busy he calls and I don't pick, he drops a message on Whatsapp and whenever I get the chance I reply to him. Most times he gets worried when we don't talk for a day because of our busy schedule. That makes me feel so love knowing someone somewhere is worried about me whenever he doesn't hear my voice in a day.
