While growing up I never had a phone of my own. My parents bought only a tablet for us at home which we use to receive calls from them but it became a problem who owes it. Then we struggled who plays games first or watch movie first. Then we were just 3 and the 3 of us struggled to use the same phone. You can imagine the argument and quarrel.

When I entered secondary school, my brother claimed ownership of both the phone and laptop since he went to a day school while I went to a boarding school.
I could remember when I was in SS3 then my friends sneaked in with their phones to school and were always busy with their 2go account and Facebook. It felt like I was left out. It was a norm at home to receive our first phone when we finished secondary school. That was when I got my first social media account and I was a novice then and my brother had to help me set up my profile and other things.
Whenever my friends brought up issues about phone and I asked questions and their faces would be like are you serious. Sometimes it's always embarrassing and I don't have any choice but to keep shut and share all my phone problems or whenever I get stuck to my brother.
I use my phone everyday but there are times I have to put it down. Since I have two gadgets, when one gets down I use the other and if the other gets down I switch to the other. So you can imagine how all my focus can be on my phone all day. But when I started working in a dental clinic, I didn't just put my phone down for an hour, most times it takes over 4 hours staying away from my phone but when I'm free you would always see me on my phone.
My supervisor always complains I'm always on my phone but I just can't help it because of my online job.
Additionally, I stay away from my phone during Sunday service. I don't see any need to bring it along to service while service is going on. I will be busy with my phone instead of listening to the word of God. Even if I take it along for snapping pictures after service, I made sure to put it on silent till after service. For me, I don't see a need to come to service and all concentration will be on your phone. Is better to stay home and press your phone all day instead of coming to church to do so.
In conclusion, I'm not addicted to my phone. There are days I stay away from it for hours but I don't go a day without pressing my phone. All my schedule is being planned with my phone but then whenever there are patients and there are so many surgeries to do then I would stay away from my phone for hours without touching it.
