Hidden beauties in Camotes Island Philippines

@jeennicious · 2022-03-26 00:12 · WE ARE MOVING
It's been a while since I've been able to go out of the city. But when @explorewithsasha offered me to join her on a trip to Camotes Island, I was ecstatic. Camotes Island has become a second home for me. Actually, I've written about it on this site: A glimpse of my second home✨🏝️ Summer time is coming! Are you all ready?✨🌞 My last trip to Camotes was to pick up my grandmother and bring her back to Danao. This time, I had another opportunity to explore the island. Allow me to share with you some of the remarkable things I've discovered, which have astounded me and which I believe are the result of our island's natural beauty.

These are stalactites discovered in Timubo Cave. I'd never given them this close of a look before because I was scared they may be dangerous, but they're actually quite harmless. We are not allowed to touch alive stalactites because they will die if we do. ![IMG20220323145049.jpg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/jeennicious/23vrtfXRLR22XKREApoW4fsjQDV5f4XTfj8yp1mKMgazhrMFYqzEr8qPJV3wc4XaXXZxJ.jpg) This is what you will see inside the cave --- ![IMG20220324122724.jpg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/jeennicious/EqL5KwPH3CdEiBv2FCyTw66rVVSTWwS8j4JYYpkNbgxxrzkCxVaVBrsRBcnUR7VStFc.jpg) This photo was taken from above at Buho Rock. This is where you leap down a cliff, and as the name implies, these were formerly merely rocks that people developed and built houses on top of. Isn't it incredible? I can't understand how this was once just a rock and has now been transformed into something more lovely. --- ![IMG20220324140841.jpg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/jeennicious/23x19T1oRqRZMQcNC2PuQRDcG9BA2muUUvqFCvn8YC9fXAEKq8FLpQoDB9od3qEpGyB7Y.jpg) I was completely taken aback when I first saw this bouquet of flowers. This is the first time I've seen something with a cone shape. This is what they call the Pagoda Flowers, which are highly abundant in tropical places like the Philippines. --- ![IMG20220324081804_01.jpg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/jeennicious/EogSAhGtkbVAgC5brCfTXj4vTh5KsJ7iup3tBeppCQDq3wTBf8tbhjUhXqTLk9e8fVD.jpg) While taking pictures of them, this little Rose Moss bloom makes me joy. It comes in a variety of colors, including yellow, red, and pink. ![IMG20220324082133_01.jpg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/jeennicious/23ynWsfX8oC1s31da6MHqMe46A9NrihGyap8mCs2SpFU6tE35U4R6rMGmRLFXqMWdwPdi.jpg) They're lovely, aren't they? They were like girls who were always smiling in the brightness of the sun.

This and more to show on my next post. Thank you for reading! Have a great day ahead, hivers!
