Bertrol, the heir to the family Gobson's fortune, is often referred to as the hero of the deceivers. He is the eldest son of Rock and the deceased Korla, and while he has rarely followed in his parents' footsteps, he is highly adored by goblins and humans alike. The people of Lyveria believe that he is destined to bring final and lasting peace to the delicate relationship between the two feuding races, and the goblins of Gobson feel that he will make better administrative decisions for their people than his parents ever could. The trouble is that he is often caught up in the shenanigans of his sister Katrelba, who was born just a few months later and has always been bitter that she will not inherit the city herself. He was not asked by his father to accompany Katrelba as a Gladiator to Mount Mox, but went instead of his own accord. He has always been nearly inseparable from his sister and defensive of her (often to a fault). While she is doing battle among the Dragons and the wider world of Splinterlands monsters, Bertrol and his axe will be there to protect her.
Hi there, fellow Splinterlands card collectors. How many cards do you have in your collection? Neither the app nor the web browser on my PC displays the total number of cards I have anymore, but if I remember correctly, I think I have around 700 cards, excluding the Gold Foils. I haven't been lucky enough to get any Black or Arcane cards yet, but it's getting to the point where I feel I have too many cards to choose from when playing brawls or Wild, and I imagine you OG players have the same problem. Some may say that you can fix the problem by renting out your cards, but if a card is good, you'll want to keep it ready, and if it's a weak card, no one will rent it, plus the rental market is kinda dead now anyway.
I couldn't zoom out any more than this, but since the card I'm going to talk about today is an Earth card, you can see all of my Earth cards above. It's a bit much, right? For the most part, I'll only choose cards that are at MAX level, but I've lost many battles because the card art wouldn't load in time. I've brought the issue up in the Discord server, but all I got were passive-aggressive comments about how maybe I should get better internet. Well, maybe the app should have an option to DOWNLOAD card art to the phone so it will load as quickly as possible for people like me who may not have the best internet, plus it would really save on data for people who have limited data plans.
Even though Splinterlands has been around for 7 years now, we are still in Beta mode in my opinion. The app still needs a lot of work before it feels AAA. Besides the Gaming Recovery Fund (which I think is brilliant), we don't really have any good marketing strategies. And we still have never crossed the one million players threshold, but we will. We will. We just need to be patient. The team knows what's up, and I believe they are doing their best and will make the game a success and us OGs rich, I just don't know WHEN.
OK, enough FOMO and ranting from me. Let's get to the point of this post: Bertrol Gobson. The last time I used this card was 14 months ago, so it's definitely a card I've neglected, and that's because there are a lot of wonderful 2-mana cards that are better than this, and I only recently got him leveled up to level six, where he gets the poison ability. Now that I can poison the weakest card of my enemy, I'll definitely be using him in battles that may be: low mana, evens only, Gladiator, or Earth only rulesets. Look how strong he is at MAX-level!

Has anyone managed to MAX all of the Gladius cards yet? I bet no one has achieved this milestone yet, and if so, it's only a few people. Very few. Why doesn't the game show how many MAX-level copies there are of a card? I don't really care that there are 175,178 in circulation. I want to know how many there are at MAX level. Why hide that data? Why mix it all into one big stat? It would be easy to add an option to see more details.
Gladius Cards
Are you playing in Brawls? If not, you're making a big mistake because Gladius cards are some of the most OP cards in the game!
I'm just a Diamond-level player, but I'm very proud to have earned EVERY Gladius card in the game! It took what feels like forever, but I finally got there. How long have the Gladius cards been around now anyway? Are we going to stick with these forever, or will there be a second group in the future?
If you'd like to join a guild, you can join mine. We are called the Mandalorians. Anyone can join. You don't have to wait to be accepted, but that doesn't mean my officers and senior members won't kick you out for not participating in Brawls. We're pretty cool about the whole donating DEC to the buildings thing, but if we see that someone has been around for a year and hasn't helped us build, we'll kick them out, which is pretty fair, right?

I'm sorry I couldn't show a battle of Bertrol Gobson in action today, but we are at the end of the season, and I don't want to drop out of the leaderboard, hoping for a Gladius ruleset to come along. I pray that we all get rich from playing this game someday, but if not, at least we had fun trying.
