Hello everyone, friends who love good stories... I hope you're all doing great today. This time I want to talk to you about a novel. Today I'll give you my personal opinions on: Eximidos by Mar Petryk. Look, get ready because this book was an emotional roller coaster that still has me half-knocked out. I finished it yesterday and, oh God! It left me with a void... one of those that stories that get deep inside you leave behind. I read in another review somewhere that someone said they hadn't suffered so much with a book in years, and I totally agree. It's just that it's really intense. Let's see, the thing is that the story takes us right into the lives of Aneli and Teo. When I tell you that their lives have been hard, believe me, they've been VERY HARD!
We talk about traumatic childhoods that left them scarred for life. As young adults, they're like "two totally and completely broken souls." Aneli's childhood... wow! It's heartbreaking... she suffered abuse, violence from her own family. She manages to escape that hell, but of course, in a moment of desperation, she makes a mistake that puts her in another situation where she suffers more abuse from someone else... no wonder she becomes like this, all alone, kind of dark... your heart aches for her, really. And then there's Teo, his story, wow! It's also tear-jerking, in its own way... he lost his mother and brother as a teenager—what a blow!—and he carries a HUGE guilt, this tragedy sent him down a super-destructive path: pure partying, alcohol, gambling, addiction... all to end up four years in prison. So, when we meet him, he's just out of the woodwork, but he's carrying a heavy resentment and is tormented by all the blunders he's made in the past.
>Hola a todos, amigos amantes de las buenas historias.. espero que estén super bien hoy, en esta ocasión les quiero hablar de una novela, hoy les daré mis opiniones personales de: Eximidos de Mar Petryk.. miren, prepárense porque este libro fue una montaña rusa emocional que todavía me tiene medio noqueado, lo acabé ayer y, ¡ay, Dios!, me dejó un vacío... pero de esos que te dejan las historias que se te meten bien adentro, leí por ahí en otra reseña que alguien decía que hacía años no sufría tanto con un libro, y totalmente de acuerdo.. es que es bien intenso.. a ver, la onda es que la historia nos mete de lleno en la vida de Aneli y Teo.. cuando les digo que sus vidas han sido duras, ¡créanme que han sido DURÍSIMAS!
Hablamos de infancias traumáticas que los dejaron marcados de por vida, ya de jóvenes adultos, son como "dos almas total y completamente rotas", la infancia de Aneli… ¡wow!, es que te desgarra.. sufrió abusos, violencia por parte de su propia familia. Logra escapar de ese infierno, pero claro, en un momento de desesperación, comete un error que la mete en otra situación donde vuelve a sufrir más abusos de otra persona.. con razón se vuelve así, toda solitaria, medio oscura.. es que te duele el alma por ella, de verdad. Y luego está Teo, su historia, ¡uff!, también es para llorar, a su manera.. perdió a su mamá y a su hermano de adolescente –¡qué golpe!– y carga con una culpa GIGANTE, esta tragedia lo mandó por un camino súper destructivo: pura fiesta, alcohol, se metió en apuestas, adicciones… todo para terminar cuatro años en la cárcel. Así que, cuando lo conocemos, recién salió, pero arrastra un resentimiento que no puede más y vive atormentado por todas las macanas que se mandó en el pasado. ---  Image generated with FLUX. Improved with KREA. --- Well, the thing is that all this happens in Bariloche, that's where these two, Aneli and Teo, cross paths... look, despite all the trauma they're carrying and those walls they've built, boom!, they start to connect, and this, people, is one of the things that for me the author, Mar Petryk, breaks it... the story is told from Aneli and Teo's point of view, chapter by chapter they take turns, and that, really, gets you right into their heads and makes you understand what each one is going through, their own battles, Petryk handles these changes in voice in a brilliant way! She keeps the pace super well and you never feel like one story takes center stage from the other, something that I really loved was how the author shows you that, although they both had a horrible time, the depth of their pain, and how each one experiences it, is different. That gives it a touch of realism that, mind you, is often missed in stories with multiple traumatized characters... the relationship that develops between Aneli and Teo is, for me, the best part! A highlight of the book, given the genre it is, one that kind of expects the typical toxic clichés, right? But no way! It was super fresh, different... instead of falling into those cliché fights, the truth is they try to help each other. They see that the other is a mess and, in their own kind of clumsy way, they try to help each other deal with all that pain and find, I don't know, a little bit of freedom, a way to move forward. It really touches your heart to see how they try to put the pieces back together, each on their own and also together. Now, I'm not going to lie to you, okay? This book touches on some really tough topics! and very real: we talk about violence, different types of abuse, addictions, how trauma marks you forever, that resentment that stays deep inside you, and the pure struggle to survive, literally! It's definitely one of those reads that hits home, the "powerful" narrative grabs you and breaks your heart; there are secrets, a lot of darkness, and that "corrosive pain" that, ugh!, you feel it in your skin the whole time. It also has some twists that leave you with your eyes wide open, just like that! And the ending, although it might blow some people's minds, for me it was necessary after everything these characters went through. It's not at all a light read, eh!, or a joke... and be careful, there are also some somewhat risqué scenes. >Bueno, la onda es que todo esto pasa en Bariloche, ahí es donde estos dos, Aneli y Teo, se cruzan.. miren, a pesar de todo el trauma que cargan y esas murallas que levantaron, ¡pum!, empiezan a conectar, y esto, gente, es una de las cosas que para mí la autora, Mar Petryk, la rompe.. la historia nos la cuentan desde el punto de vista de Aneli y de Teo, capítulo a capítulo se van turnando, y eso, de verdad, te mete de lleno en sus cabezas y te hace entender por lo que está pasando cada uno, sus propias batallas, Petryk maneja estos cambios de voz ¡de una manera genial! Mantiene el ritmo súper bien y nunca sientes que una historia le quite protagonismo a la otra, algo que me encantó, de verdad, fue cómo la autora te muestra que, aunque los dos la pasaron horrible, la profundidad de su dolor, y cómo lo vive cada uno, es distinto.
Eso le da un toque de realismo que, ¡ojo!, muchas veces no se ve en historias con varios personajes traumados.. la relación que se va armando entre Aneli y Teo es, para mí, ¡lo mejor! Un puntazo del libro, siendo el género que es, uno medio que se espera los típicos clichés tóxicos, ¿no? pero ¡qué va! Fue súper fresca, diferente.. en vez de caer en esas peleas cliché, la verdad que intentan ayudarse el uno al otro. Ven que el otro está hecho un desastre y, a su manera medio torpe, intentan ayudarse a lidiar con todo ese dolor y a encontrar, no sé, un poquito de libertad, una forma de salir adelante, es que te llega al corazón ver cómo intentan juntar los pedazos, cada uno por su lado y también juntos. Ahora, no les voy a mentir, ¿eh?
Este libro toca unos temas ¡durísimos! y bien reales: hablamos de violencia, distintos tipos de abuso, adicciones, cómo te marca el trauma para siempre, ese rencor que se te queda metido bien adentro, y la pura lucha por sobrevivir, ¡literal! Definitivamente es una lectura de esas que te pegan, "potente" la narración te atrapa y te rompe el corazón; hay secretos, mucha oscuridad y ese "dolor corrosivo" que, ¡uff!, lo sientes en la piel todo el tiempo. También tiene unos giros que te dejan con los ojos abiertos, ¡así! Y el final, aunque quizás a algunos les vuele la cabeza, para mí era necesario después de todo lo que vivieron estos personajes, para nada es una lectura ligerita, ¡eh!, ni de chiste.. y ojo, que también hay escenitas medio subidas de tono. ---  Created with Canva Pro. I mean, you're so wrapped up in wanting Aneli and Teo to find some peace, that the constant bombardment of pain, even if it's super realistic because of what they went through, can be a lot to process... but, to be honest, that's also part of what makes the story hit so hard, so, who is this book for? Look, I recommend it to people 17, 18 and up, mostly because of the tough and complex themes it touches on, the sometimes strong language, and all the emotional weight it carries. If you're one of those people who likes stories that don't shy away from delving into the darkest aspects of life, of the human experience, and you like narratives where the characters reach you and you connect completely, you're going to like this one! Overall, I give Eximidos a 4 out of 5 stars... it made me suffer, it made me cry, and, ugh!, it left me thinking a lot. It's a testament to how strong the human spirit can be, even when faced with terrible, unimaginable things. It's a tough journey, but the way they tell Aneli and Teo's stories, and how they fight for a better future, really grabs you! If you're ready for an experience that will drain you emotionally but ultimately seeks hope in the darkest places, then I highly recommend it... just keep the tissues handy. Bye! >A ver, si le tengo que buscar un "pero", algo que quizás pudo ser un poquito diferente, es que a veces tanto trauma, tanta carga, se siente como ¡demasiado! O sea, estás tan metido queriendo que Aneli y Teo encuentren un poco de paz, que el bombardeo constante de dolor, aunque sea súper realista por lo que vivieron, puede ser un montón para procesar.. pero, siendo sincero, eso también es parte de lo que hace que la historia te pegue tan fuerte, entonces, ¿para quién es este libro? Miren, yo se lo recomiendo a gente de 17, 18 para arriba, más que nada por los temas duros y complejos que toca, el lenguaje a veces fuertecito y toda la carga emocional que tiene. Si eres de los que les gustan esas historias que no le sacan el cuerpo a meterse en lo más oscuro de la vida, de la experiencia humana, y te gustan esas narrativas donde los personajes te llegan y conectas full, ¡este te va a gustar!
En general, a Eximidos le doy unas 4 de 5 estrellitas.. me hizo sufrir, me hizo llorar y, ¡uff!, me dejó pensando un montón. Es una muestra de lo fuerte que puede ser el espíritu humano, incluso cuando te enfrentas a cosas terribles, inimaginables, es un viaje heavy, pero la forma en que te cuentan las historias de Aneli y Teo, y cómo luchan por un futuro mejor, ¡te atrapa mal! Si están listos para una experiencia que los va a agotar emocionalmente pero que al final busca la esperanza en los lugares más oscuros, entonces se los súper recomiendo.. eso sí, tengan los pañuelitos a mano.
