Hello everyone, friends of Hive, I hope you are all doing super well, this time I want to share a new review with you, this time I'm going to talk about an anime that surprised me a little, but at first I thought about not watching it, today I'll talk about: My Home Hero, it caught me totally off guard, if I'm honest, I didn't have much faith in it... in fact, I had already heard around that the adaptation wasn't that cool, that the animation left a lot to be desired, that it was... well, kind of ugly... and yes, but even so, it hooked me, so much so that after the first two chapters, I wanted to see the next one and so on and so forth haha... that tells you something, don't you think? So, what's it all about? English: Watch out here: the premise with which it starts is crazy and it catches you immediately, we have Tetsuo, who is the typical dad, the normal office worker... he loves his wife, adores his daughter, has a quiet life, likes to read and write mystery novels... an ordinary guy, but one day, zap!, he realizes that his daughter, Reika, who is already in college, is being abused by her boyfriend.
He starts to investigate, he begins to suspect and realizes that the guy is not only an idiot, but that he is involved with the Yakuza, with mobsters... things get ugly super fast, and Tetsuo overhears the boyfriend planning something against Reika... well Tetsuo, in a moment of total desperation, of panic, to protect his daughter... Ends up killing the boyfriend! Just like that... an ordinary dad commits a murder, he didn't kill just anyone, it was a guy who was part of a super dangerous criminal organization... that decision, boom!, turns his life and that of his family into total chaos, unleashing a gigantic problem, the truth is, just with that, the story already ties you in and it's worth taking a look at it... it's one of those that leaves you thinking: "Ok, I have to see how the hell this is resolved."
>Hola a todos, amigos de Hive, espero que estén super bien, en esta ocasión les quiero compartir una nueva reseña, esta vez les voy a hablar de un anime que me sorprendió un poco, pero que al principio pensé no ver, hoy les hablaré de: My Home Hero, me agarró totalmente desprevenido, si les soy sincero, no le tenía mucha fe.. es más, ya había escuchado por ahí que la adaptación no estaba tan chida, que la animación dejaba mucho que desear, que estaba... pues, medio feíta.. y sí, pero aun así, me enganchó, tanto que después de los primeros dos capítulos, quería ver el siguiente y así continuamente jaja.. eso ya les dice algo, ¿no creen? Entonces, ¿de qué va la cosa? Ojo aquí: la premisa con la que arranca es una locura y te atrapa al toque, tenemos a Tetsuo, que es el típico papá, el oficinista normal.. quiere a su esposa, adora a su hija, tiene su vida tranquila, le gusta leer y escribir novelas de misterio... un tipo común y corriente, pero un día, ¡zaz!, se da cuenta de que a su hija, Reika, que ya está en la universidad, la está maltratando el novio.
Se pone a investigar, empieza a sospechar y cacha que el tipo no solo es un imbécil, sino que anda metido con la Yakuza, con mafiosos.. la cosa se pone fea súper rápido, y Tetsuo escucha al novio planear algo en contra de Reika.. pues Tetsuo, en un momento de desesperación total, de pánico, para proteger a su hija... ¡Termina asesinando al novio! Así nomás.. un papá cualquiera comete un asesinato, no mató a cualquiera, fue un tipo que era parte de una organización criminal súper peligrosa.. esa decisión, ¡pum!, convierte su vida y la de su familia en un caos total, desatando un problemón gigantesco, la verdad, solo con eso, la historia ya te amarra y vale muchísimo la pena echarle un ojo.. es de esas que te dejan pensando: "Ok, tengo que ver cómo diablos se resuelve esto". ---  [Imagen Source](https://www.themoviedb.org/tv/204412/season/1/episode/2/images/backdrops) --- And well, from there on, things become like a really intense, suspenseful, death-filled thriller. It's like those police stories, but the other way around, because here we follow the guy who committed the crime, who's desperately trying not to get caught... the plot, ugh! It really grips you, I swear, I was holding my heart in my hand almost the entire time. The tension and suspense never let go for a second... you keep thinking 'are they going to screw it up?', 'are they going to find something?', 'are they going to lose their little show?'... it really keeps you guessing and biting your nails. There were times when I forgot about the technical problems because I was so focused on whether they were going to catch them or not. And the main character, Tetsuo, is a great character. He doesn't just suddenly become an expert killer, not at all! The guy is scared stiff, sometimes he screws up, but he's also surprisingly cunning. Remember his hobby of reading and writing mystery novels? Well, he starts using all of that: thinking about how to make evidence disappear, invent alibis, distract... he's a genius! He uses his head to try to outsmart mobsters who already know everything, but wow, the poor guy can't catch a break, problems keep raining down on him... just when you think he can catch a breath, boom! Something else goes wrong, another danger appears, sometimes it's just plain bad luck or even the weather seems to be against him, it's almost comical! You feel his desperation, but hey, can we talk about his wife, Kasen? No way, gang! Kasen is ANOTHER LEVEL... she's a super strong woman who always surprises you, there are several plot twists that involve her, I loved them, risking everything for her family, just like Tetsuo... she's a total "mama bear", she protects her family tooth and nail, she's super smart and she's willing to do anything... honestly, she's maybe one of the best moms in anime that I've seen in a while... her determination is impressive, it's not that she's just there supporting; she gets fully involved in planning and executing everything, sometimes she even proposes things more risky than Tetsuo! Seeing how the two of them work as a couple under all that pressure is one of the best things in the series. >Y bueno, a partir de ahí, la cosa se pone como un thriller de suspenso y muerte bien intenso, es como esas historias de policías, pero al revés, porque aquí seguimos al que cometió el crimen, que está tratando desesperadamente de que no lo cachen.. la trama, ¡uff!, te atrapa durísimo, les juro, yo estaba con el corazón en la mano casi todo el tiempo. La tensión y el suspenso no te sueltan ni un segundo.. te la pasas pensando '¿lo van a arruinar?', '¿les van a encontrar algo?', '¿se les va a caer el teatrito?'.. de verdad te tiene adivinando y mordiéndote las uñas, hubo ratos en que se me olvidaban los problemitas técnicos porque estaba súper clavado en si los iban a atrapar o no.
Y el prota, Tetsuo, es un personaje genial, no es que de la nada se vuelva un asesino experto, ¡para nada! el tipo está muerto de miedo, a veces lo arruina, pero también es sorprendentemente astuto. ¿Se acuerdan de su hobby de leer y escribir novelas de misterio? Pues empieza a usar todo eso: pensando en cómo desaparecer pruebas, inventar coartadas, distraer... e un crack! Usa la cabeza para intentar ganarle a mafiosos que ya se las saben todas, pero, wow, l pobre tipo no tiene ni un respiro, le llueven los problemas sin parar.. cuando crees que ya puede respirar tantito, ¡pum!, algo más sale mal, aparece otro peligro, ¡a veces es pura mala suerte o hasta el clima parece estar en su contra, es hasta cómico Sientes su desesperación, pero oigan, ¿podemos hablar de su esposa, Kasen? ¡No maaanches, banda!
Kasen es OTRO NIVEL.. es una mujer súper fuerte siempre te sorprende, hay varios giros de guión que la involucran, me encantaron, arriesgando todo por su familia, igualito que Tetsuo.. es toda una "mamá osa", protege a los suyos con uñas y dientes, es súper inteligente y está dispuesta a hacer lo que sea.. sinceramente, tal vez y es de las mejores mamás del anime que he visto en un buen rato.. su determinación es impresionante, no es que nomás esté ahí apoyando; se mete de lleno a planear y ejecutar todo, ¡a veces hasta propone cosas más arriesgadas que Tetsuo! Will Tetsuo succeed in erasing everything and deceiving them? Or will Kyochi find that key evidence to say “Aha! It was you!”? That back and forth is really well done, really… that brings us to the main theme of the whole story, which is: how far will a dad and mom go to protect their family? It pushes you to question morality. What Tetsuo did was wrong, of course, it was illegal, horrible... but... you understand why he did it, right? The series explores that desperation and how morally complicated it all is, that gray area, it makes you ask uncomfortable questions, like "What would I do in his place?" It's dense, really... it also touches on that fear all parents have of their children getting involved with the wrong person and the terrible consequences that can bring. Reika's initial choice of boyfriend, even though she knew it was a bad thing (the classic "I'm going to change him"!), is what starts the whole mess, and that adds another layer of painful realism. Now... let's talk about the technical problems... okay, remember how I told you I'd heard bad things? Well they were true, the anime adaptation has some serious problems... you can tell the animation has a limited budget, but it's horrible, there are a lot of static scenes, just the characters talking and barely moving... when they do move, especially if they turn or in the action scenes (which there are almost none), it looks super choppy, as if it were missing frames, it doesn't look fluid, it can really ruin the experience if you're very fixated on the quality of the animation... sometimes they use long shots so they don't have to animate details, and the pace sometimes feels weird: sometimes it drags on in moments that should be tense to the point that, I confess, sometimes I had to speed it up to make it feel right. Still photos with speed lines instead of real animation? Yes, you'll find that here too. >Está genial ver cómo es tan complicado, él está con todo akuza, que anda buscando al novio desaparecido (que acuérdense, era hijo de un pez gordo de la mafia).. hay un mafioso en particular, Kyochi, que es bien pinche listo, se las sabe todas y tiene una capacidad para deducir cosas que wow, al toque le echa el ojo a Tetsuo y su familia, y se arma un juego del gato y el ratón que te tiene comiéndote las uñas, una carrera contra el reloj. ¿Le saldrá bien a Tetsuo borrar todo y engañarlos? ¿O el Kyochi va a encontrar esa prueba clave para decir "¡Ajá! ¡Fuiste tú!"? Está súper bien hecho ese estira y afloja, la neta.. eso nos lleva al tema principal de toda la historia, que es: ¿hasta dónde son capaces de llegar un papá y una mamá para proteger a su familia? Te empuja a cuestionar la moral, lo que hizo Tetsuo estuvo mal, claro, fue ilegal, horrible.. pero... entiendes por qué lo hizo, ¿no?
La serie explora esa desesperación y lo moralmente complicado que es todo, esa zona gris, te hace preguntarte cosas incómodas, como "¿Qué haría yo en su lugar?". Es denso, la verdad.. también toca ese miedo que tenemos todos los papás de que nuestros hijos se metan con la persona equivocada y las consecuencias terribles que puede traer. La elección inicial de Reika, la del novio, aunque sabía que era mala onda (¡el clásico "yo lo voy a cambiar"!), es lo que empieza todo el desmadre, y eso le mete otra capa de realismo bien doloroso.
Ahora... hablemos de los problemas técnicos.. ok, se acuerdan que les dije que había escuchado cosas malas? Pues eran ciertas, la adaptación al anime tiene unos problemas serios.. se nota que la animación tiene presupuesto limitado, pero horrible, hay un montón de escenas estáticas, nomás los personajes hablando sin moverse casi nada.. cuando sí se mueven, sobre todo si giran o en las escenas de acción (que casi no hay), se ve súper cortado, como si le faltaran cuadros, no se ve fluido, la verdad sí te puede arruinar la experiencia si eres muy fijado con la calidad de la animación.. a veces usan tomas de lejos como para no tener que animar detalles, y el ritmo a veces se siente raro: a veces se alaaaarga en momentos que deberían ser tensos al punto que, les confieso, a veces le tuve que subir la velocidad para que se sintiera bien. ¿Fotos fijas con rayitas de velocidad en vez de animación de verdad? You're somewhere else without warning or anything... it hits you like a weird whiplash. Plus, as I realized after reading the manga, they cut a lot of things: they cut out explanations that gave you important context, details of how Tetsuo did it (which in the manga are really cool, almost like a manual!), and it seems like they even skipped entire chapters, it feels like they rushed it to fit everything into 12 episodes... it's a shame, because the original story is really good. So, what do I think in the end? Well, it's complicated, gang. The story itself? Great! The premise grabs you, the tension is incredible, the characters are great, especially how Tetsuo and Kasen get along, and the themes leave you thinking... the plot had me glued. But the adaptation? That's where the problem is, it's done half in a hurry, the animation is crappy, the rhythm is kind of weird and the direction is all abrupt does lower points... one of those times when you say "damn, the story deserved a better job" .. my rating goes along those lines, but in the end, the strength of the story weighs more, for the story, the characters and the pure suspense, I would give it a great rating, but the technical part of the anime, the execution... leaves a lot to be desired... despite that, the plot is so powerful, the characters so well done and the tension so well handled, that it manages to stand out despite its technical madness, it has you there, glued to the screen wanting to know what else is going to happen, and that's what counts in the end... so, overall, I give it an **8/10**. It's worth watching if you can put up with the visual and direction issues, of which there are several, because the central story is that good... or do as I did: watch a couple of chapters to get hooked and then skip the manga, which is the complete and superior experience. Despite my complaints about the production, I don't regret having seen it. I was surprised by how deeply I got into it... it made me think, it made me nervous for the characters... if you like thrillers, give it a chance. And well, friends, that's it for today's review. Bye! >Y la dirección, tampoco ayuda mucho.. los cambios de escena a veces son súper bruscos, te sacan de onda, fe repente, ¡pum!, estás en otro lado sin que te avisen ni nada.. te pega un latigazo raro, además, como me di cuenta después leyendo el manga, le metieron tijera a un montón de cosas: cortaron explicaciones que te daban contexto importante, detalles de cómo le hacía Tetsuo (que en el manga están bien chidos, ¡casi como un manual!), y parece que hasta se saltaron capítulos enteros, se siente como que lo hicieron a las carreras para meter todo en 12 episodios.. es una lástima, porque la historia original está buenísima. Entonces, ¿qué pienso al final? Pues está complicado, banda. ¿La historia como tal? ¡genial! La premisa te atrapa, la tensión es increíble, los personajes están geniales, sobre todo cómo se llevan Tetsuo y Kasen, y los temas te dejan pensando.. la trama me tuvo pegado.
Pero la adaptación? Ahí es donde está el problema, está hecha medio al aventón, la animación chafa, el ritmo medio raro y la dirección toda abrupta sí le bajan puntos.. de esas veces que dices "coño, la historia merecía una mejor chamba".. mi calificación va por ahí, pero al final, la fuerza de la historia pesa más, por la historia, los personajes y el puro suspenso, le daría una genial calificación, pero la parte técnica del anime, la ejecución... deja mucho que desear.. a pesar de eso, la trama es tan potente, los personajes tan bien hechos y la tensión tan bien manejada, que logra sobresalir a pesar de sus locuras técnicas, te tiene ahí, pegado a la pantalla queriendo saber qué más va a pasar, y eso es lo que cuenta al final.. así que, en general, le doy un **8/10**.
Vale la pena verla si pueden aguantar los problemas visuales y de dirección, que sí son varios, porque la historia central está así de buena.. o hagan como yo: véanse un par de capítulos para engancharse y luego córranle al manga, que es la experiencia completa y superior, a pesar de mis quejas de la producción, no me arrepiento de haberla visto. Me sorprendió lo mucho que me metí.. me hizo pensar, me puso nervioso por los personajes.. si te gustan los thrillers, dale una oportunidad. Ahora... hablemos de los problemas técnicos.. ok, se acuerdan que les dije que había escuchado cosas malas? Pues eran ciertas, la adaptación al anime tiene unos problemas serios.. se nota que la animación tiene presupuesto limitado, pero horrible, hay un montón de escenas estáticas, nomás los personajes hablando sin moverse casi nada.. cuando sí se mueven, sobre todo si giran o en las escenas de acción (que casi no hay), se ve súper cortado, como si le faltaran cuadros, no se ve fluido, la verdad sí te puede arruinar la experiencia si eres muy fijado con la calidad de la animación.. a veces usan tomas de lejos como para no tener que animar detalles, y el ritmo a veces se siente raro: a veces se alaaaarga en momentos que deberían ser tensos al punto que, les confieso, a veces le tuve que subir la velocidad para que se sintiera bien. ¿Fotos fijas con rayitas de velocidad en vez de animación de verdad? You're somewhere else without warning or anything... it hits you like a weird whiplash. Plus, as I realized after reading the manga, they cut a lot of things: they cut out explanations that gave you important context, details of how Tetsuo did it (which in the manga are really cool, almost like a manual!), and it seems like they even skipped entire chapters, it feels like they rushed it to fit everything into 12 episodes... it's a shame, because the original story is really good. So, what do I think in the end? Well, it's complicated, gang. The story itself? Great! The premise grabs you, the tension is incredible, the characters are great, especially how Tetsuo and Kasen get along, and the themes leave you thinking... the plot had me glued. But the adaptation? That's where the problem is, it's done half in a hurry, the animation is crappy, the rhythm is kind of weird and the direction is all abrupt does lower points... one of those times when you say "damn, the story deserved a better job" .. my rating goes along those lines, but in the end, the strength of the story weighs more, for the story, the characters and the pure suspense, I would give it a great rating, but the technical part of the anime, the execution... leaves a lot to be desired... despite that, the plot is so powerful, the characters so well done and the tension so well handled, that it manages to stand out despite its technical madness, it has you there, glued to the screen wanting to know what else is going to happen, and that's what counts in the end... so, overall, I give it an **8/10**. It's worth watching if you can put up with the visual and direction issues, of which there are several, because the central story is that good... or do as I did: watch a couple of chapters to get hooked and then skip the manga, which is the complete and superior experience. Despite my complaints about the production, I don't regret having seen it. I was surprised by how deeply I got into it... it made me think, it made me nervous for the characters... if you like thrillers, give it a chance. And well, friends, that's it for today's review. Bye! >Y la dirección, tampoco ayuda mucho.. los cambios de escena a veces son súper bruscos, te sacan de onda, fe repente, ¡pum!, estás en otro lado sin que te avisen ni nada.. te pega un latigazo raro, además, como me di cuenta después leyendo el manga, le metieron tijera a un montón de cosas: cortaron explicaciones que te daban contexto importante, detalles de cómo le hacía Tetsuo (que en el manga están bien chidos, ¡casi como un manual!), y parece que hasta se saltaron capítulos enteros, se siente como que lo hicieron a las carreras para meter todo en 12 episodios.. es una lástima, porque la historia original está buenísima. Entonces, ¿qué pienso al final? Pues está complicado, banda. ¿La historia como tal? ¡genial! La premisa te atrapa, la tensión es increíble, los personajes están geniales, sobre todo cómo se llevan Tetsuo y Kasen, y los temas te dejan pensando.. la trama me tuvo pegado.
Pero la adaptación? Ahí es donde está el problema, está hecha medio al aventón, la animación chafa, el ritmo medio raro y la dirección toda abrupta sí le bajan puntos.. de esas veces que dices "coño, la historia merecía una mejor chamba".. mi calificación va por ahí, pero al final, la fuerza de la historia pesa más, por la historia, los personajes y el puro suspenso, le daría una genial calificación, pero la parte técnica del anime, la ejecución... deja mucho que desear.. a pesar de eso, la trama es tan potente, los personajes tan bien hechos y la tensión tan bien manejada, que logra sobresalir a pesar de sus locuras técnicas, te tiene ahí, pegado a la pantalla queriendo saber qué más va a pasar, y eso es lo que cuenta al final.. así que, en general, le doy un **8/10**.
Vale la pena verla si pueden aguantar los problemas visuales y de dirección, que sí son varios, porque la historia central está así de buena.. o hagan como yo: véanse un par de capítulos para engancharse y luego córranle al manga, que es la experiencia completa y superior, a pesar de mis quejas de la producción, no me arrepiento de haberla visto. Me sorprendió lo mucho que me metí.. me hizo pensar, me puso nervioso por los personajes.. si te gustan los thrillers, dale una oportunidad.
