Hello everyone, friends of The Anime Realm, I hope you're all doing well. Today I have a new review for you... if you're a fan of relaxing anime, the calming ones... well, I found the perfect one! I just finished a marathon of Laid-Back Camp – or Yuru Camp, you know, the Japanese name – both seasons, even the shorts! I was like, "Okay, how interesting can that really be?" Let me tell you: how wrong I was, this anime is pure magic, but not the kind that dazzles you with lights... it's a calm, cozy magic, you know? The first thing that hits you is the atmosphere... it's ridiculously relaxing! Like the perfect definition of iyashikei – that genre name suits it perfectly, it's the kind of series you can put on before going to sleep to disconnect... it's an anime that gives you "inner peace", and yes, it sounds super dramatic, but it's quite true! He goes at his own pace, calm, focuses on everyday moments, but makes them feel special. >Hola a todos, amigos de The Anime Realm, espero que esten bien, oy les traigo una nueva reseña.. si tu eres fan de los animes para relajarse, los calmados.. pues encontre el definitivo! Me acabo de aventar un maratón de Laid-Back Camp – o Yuru Camp, ya saben, el nombre en japonés – las dos temporadas, ¡hasta los cortos!, Dije: "Ok, ¿qué tan interesante puede ser eso, la verdad?". Déjenme decirles: qué equivocado estaba, este anime es magia pura, pero no de esa que te deslumbra con luces.. es una magia tranquilita, acogedora, ¿saben? Lo primero que te pega es la atmósfera.. es ridículamente relajante! Como la definición perfecta de iyashikei – ese nombre de género le queda genial, es el tipo de serie que te puedes poner antes de dormir para desconectarte.. es un anime que da "paz interior", y sí, suena súper dramático, ¡pero es bastante cierto! In fact, it gets super detailed and realistic with the whole camping thing. You see them figuring out what’s up with everything: which tent to buy, how to set it up properly (and sometimes poorly, which makes you laugh!), the different ways to light a campfire depending on the firewood or the weather, even cooking real food outside on their little grills! It’s super interesting. I swear, my friends, I learned more about types of charcoal and how warm a sleeping bag is than I ever imagined! And it never feels like you’re being given a boring class; all of that is wrapped up in the story, in what the girls experience, in a super natural way. Sometimes they even throw in tips like this, with a narrator’s voice, explaining the equipment or safety things. You really learn without being scolded... one of the coolest things is how it shows you both sides of the coin: camping alone vs. camping in a group. We have Rin Shima, who is like the real deal, the queen of solo camping, she loves her peace, her quiet, setting up her little camp next to a lake near Mount Fuji, reading a book, just being there, absorbing everything... at first she's super reserved, almost like she doesn't want anyone to invade her space, you know? Seeing her well-planned routines, how she enjoys it in silence... it's really inspiring in its own way, very much her, very introverted... then BOOM! Nadeshiko Kagamihara appears! She's like a ball of energy with pink hair, pure good rookie camper vibes! Who literally trips and falls into Rin's camp in the first chapter, Nadeshiko is the one who brings the group camping vibe, because in the end she joins the school's little Outdoor Activities Club with Chiaki and Aoi. They're more rambunctious, more talkative, maybe sometimes not as prepared, but their adventures have an energy that's contagious and you feel the good vibes between them. The anime does a great job showing the coolness of both styles... they don't tell you which one is 'better', they're just different ways of enjoying being outside. >No crean que son solo las buenas vibras, que eso fue lo que más me sorprendió, de hecho, se pone súper detallado y realista con toda la onda de acampar, las ves viendo qué onda con todo: qué casa de campaña comprar, cómo armarla bien (¡y a veces mal, que te da risa!), las diferentes formas de prender una fogata según la leña o el clima, hasta cocinando comida de verdad afuera en sus parrillitas!.. es súper interesante, les juro, mi gente, que aprendí más de tipos de carbón y de qué tan calientito es un sleeping bag de lo que jamás imaginé! Y nunca se siente como que te están dando una clase aburrida; todo eso está metido en la historia, en lo que viven las chicas, de forma súper natural, hasta a veces meten tips así, con la voz de un narrador, explicándote el equipo o cosas de seguridad.
De verdad aprendes sin que te estén regañando.. una de las cosas más chidas es cómo te muestra los dos lados de la moneda: acampar solo contra acampar en grupo. Tenemos a Rin Shima, que es como la mera mera, la reina de acampar solita, le encanta su paz, su tranquilidad, armar su campamento chiquito junto a un lago cerca del Monte Fuji, leerse un libro, nomás estar ahí, absorbiendo todo.. al principio es súper reservada, casi como que no quiere que nadie invada su espacio, ¿saben? Ver sus rutinas bien planeadas, cómo disfruta en silencio... la verdad es inspirador a su manera, muy de ella, muy introvertida.. luego PUM! ¡Aparece Nadeshiko Kagamihara!
Es como una bola de energía con pelo rosa, ¡pura buena vibra de campista novata!, que literal se tropieza y cae en el campamento de Rin en el primer capítulo, Nadeshiko es la que trae la onda de acampar en grupo, porque al final se une al club chiquitito de Actividades al Aire Libre de la escuela con Chiaki y Aoi. Son más desmadrosas, más cotorras, chance a veces no tan preparadas, pero sus aventuras tienen una energía que se contagia y se siente la buena onda entre ellas, el anime hace un trabajo genial mostrando lo chido de los dos estilos.. no te dicen que uno es 'mejor', solo son formas diferentes de disfrutar estar afuera. ---  [Image Source](https://www.themoviedb.org/tv/76075/images/backdrops) --- And Nadeshiko is perfect for those of us who, like me, have no idea about camping. She starts out knowing absolutely nothing: she gets lost, she falls asleep outside, she gets excited about the most basic equipment... so, while she learns, we do too! You connect completely with her excitement and how absent-minded she is sometimes, she makes learning everything feel super natural and fun. You feel the surprise on her face when she sees Mount Fuji at night for the first time, or her happiness when she tries the camp food, it's a really clever way of letting you know. Rin, since she already knows more, has a different kind of quirks, one of those that make people who camp often laugh, and that adds another layer to it... and can we talk about HOW BEAUTIFUL this anime looks? The animation is super fluid, it looks good, the girl designs are cute and expressive, but the backgrounds are awesome, my people! The landscapes are crazy, they show you real places in Japan, especially Yamanashi and of course, Mount Fuji, always imposing! You see spectacular views!: lakes that reflect the sky, forests with the sun shining through, starry nights over the camps, the warm glow of the town lights in the distance... the attention to detail in the settings, how they capture the light at sunrise or sunset, it's simply... wow, wonderful! It makes you want to go there right now... The endings, wow! Those in particular are pure joy to the ears. Seriously, stay to listen to the themes at the end of each episode; they are the definition of relaxation... perfect music to calm you down. The openings are also great, and the visuals go perfectly with the Yuru Camp vibe. Although, as someone said, the songs themselves may not be everyone's favorites compared to the endings, but overall, the sound design is top-notch! Now, if you're looking for mind-blowing plot twists, dramatic character arcs, or life-or-death issues... well, yeah, this isn't about that. This anime doesn't need drama... the 'issues' are things like forgetting your cutlery, it suddenly getting colder than expected, or finding the perfect little spot to camp... you know what? Honestly, that's a big part of its charm! It's super refreshing to see something where it's all about friendship, experiencing things together, and the pure joy of being outside. The chemistry between the girls is fantastic! Although you could maybe put labels on them—the quiet one, the energetic one, the one with glasses, you know—they feel super real, and the way they get along with each other is fun and you grow to love it so much. Watching Rin slowly open up to Nadeshiko and the gang over the seasons is especially cool. It's just... enjoyable... it warms your heart. >Y Nadeshiko, es perfecta para los que, como yo, no tenemos ni idea de acampar, arranca sin saber ¡absolutamente nada!: se pierde, se queda dormida afuera, se emociona con el equipo más básico.. así que, mientras ella aprende, ¡nosotros también! Conectas cañón con su emoción y con lo despistada que es a veces, hace que aprender todo se sienta súper natural y divertido.. sientes su cara de asombro cuando ve el Monte Fuji de noche por primera vez, o su felicidad cuando prueba la comida del campamento, es una forma bien inteligente de soltarte la información, Rin, como ya le sabe más, tiene otro tipo de bronquitas, de esas que los que acampan seguido chance y les dan risa, y eso le mete otra capa.. y ¿podemos hablar de LO HERMOSO que se ve este anime?
La animación está súper fluida, se ve bien, los diseños de las chicas son lindísimos y expresivos, pero los fondos no manches, mi gente!, los paisajes son una cosa de locos, te muestran lugares reales de Japón, sobre todo por Yamanashi y claro, el Monte Fuji, ¡siempre imponente! Ves unas vistas ¡espectaculares!: lagos que reflejan el cielo, bosques con el sol colándose, noches estrelladas sobre los campamentos, el brillito cálido de las luces del pueblo a lo lejos.. la atención al detalle en los escenarios, cómo capturan la luz al amanecer o al atardecer, es simplemente… ¡uff, una maravilla! Los endings, ¡uf!, esos en especial son pura gozada para los oídos, en serio, quédense a escuchar los temas del final de cada capítulo; son la definición de relax.. música perfecta para bajarle dos rayitas, los openings también pegan, y lo visual va perfecto con la onda de Yuru Camp, aunque tal vez, como decía alguien por ahí, las canciones en sí no sean las favoritas de todos comparadas con los endings, pero en general, el diseño de sonido es ¡de primera!
Ahora, si andan buscando giros en la trama que te dejen loco, arcos de personajes dramáticos o problemas de vida o muerte… pues sí, esto no va por ahí, este anime no necesita drama.. los 'problemas' son cosas como que se les olvidan los cubiertos, que de repente hace más frío de lo esperado, o encontrar el lugarcito perfecto para acampar.. saben qué? La verdad, ¡eso es gran parte de su encanto! Es súper refrescante ver algo donde todo se trata de la amistad, de vivir cosas juntas y de la pura alegría de estar afuera, la química entre las chicas es ¡fantástica! Aunque tal vez podrías ponerles etiquetas – la calladita, la energética, la de lentes, ya saben – se sienten súper reales y cómo se llevan entre ellas es divertido y te encariñas un montón, ver cómo Rin se va abriendo poquito a poquito con Nadeshiko y el grupo, a lo largo de las temporadas, es especialmente chido. Es simplemente… agradable.. te apapacha el corazón. ---  [Image Source](https://www.themoviedb.org/tv/76075/season/2/episode/3/images/backdrops) --- Watching this anime, seriously, makes you feel something for camping... even if you're a complete non-camper like me, whose idea of "adventure" is staying in a hotel with no room service, it awakens this feeling of peace, of appreciating nature! It touches that fiber of wanting to escape to a quiet place... I found myself super involved, seriously worrying about whether they had a good fire going or if they wouldn't freeze to death in their sleeping bags! It made me think: "Hey, maybe setting up a tent by a lake wouldn't be so bad..." Which is crazy to me, I swear, someone out there in some notes said it perfectly: even if you don't like camping, watching this can plant a seed of curiosity in you... it perfectly captures that feeling, that vibe of being out there... is there something wrong with it? Hmm... Maybe that it sticks a lot in the Mount Fuji area? Which is beautiful, don’t get me wrong, but I did suddenly wonder what it would be like to camp in a totally different part of Japan… maybe if you binge-watch it really fast (like I half did, oops!), the slow pace might feel a little repetitive if you watch it all in one go, but really, it’s just a small thing. The experience itself is just super positive… So, my final verdict, my people? This is an easy, easy recommendation, if you need something to relax, something that warms your heart, is fun, beautiful to look at, and on top of that you learn something without realizing it, Laid-Back Camp is the answer. It far exceeded my expectations. I went in half-doubtful of an anime that was just about camping and came out feeling like I had gone on a spiritual retreat, that’s how relaxing it was! It has become one of my favorite slice-of-life shows, I give it a solid 9.5/10. Maybe it's just that it does what it wants to do perfectly, creating this wonderful, relaxing world that you just want to immerse yourself in. It's charming, beautifully made, and leaves you with a warm, happy feeling... seriously, especially if you're stressed or just need a dose of anime that gives you pure comfort, check it out! Bye! >Ver este anime, ¡neta!, te hace sentir algo por el camping.. aunque seas cero de campo como yo, que mi idea de "aventura" es quedarme en un hotel sin servicio al cuarto, ¡te despierta esta sensación de paz, de apreciar la naturaleza! Toca esa fibra de querer escaparte a un lugar tranquilo.. me encontré súper metida, preocupándome en serio por si les prendía bien la fogata o si no se morían de frío en sus sleeping bags! Me hizo pensar: "Oye, chance y armar una tiendita junto a un lago no estaría tan mal..." Lo cual es una locura para mí, se los juro, alguien por ahí en unas notas lo dijo perfecto: aunque no te guste acampar, ver esto te puede sembrar la semillita de la curiosidad.. captura perfecto esa sensación, esa vibra de estar ahí afuera.. que si tiene algo malo?
Hmm... ¿Quizás que se clava mucho en la zona del Monte Fuji? Que es hermoso, no me malinterpreten, pero de repente sí me pregunté cómo sería acampar en otra parte totalmente diferente de Japón.. tal vez si te lo avientas de maratón muy rápido (como medio hice yo, ¡ups!), el ritmo tranquilito podría sentirse un poquito repetitivo si lo ves todo de jalón, pero la verdad, son cositas de nada. La experiencia en sí es simplemente súper positiva.. Así que, ¿mi veredicto final, mi gente? Esta es una recomendación fácil, fácil, si necesitan algo para relajarse, algo que les apapache el corazón, que sea divertido, hermoso de ver y que encima aprendan algo sin darse cuenta, Laid-Back Camp es la respuesta. Superó lo que yo esperaba por mucho, entré medio dudosa de un anime que solo fuera de acampar y salí sintiendo que me había ido de retiro espiritual, ¡así de tranquilo!
Se ha vuelto uno de mis slice-of-life favoritos, le doy un sólido 9.5/10. Quizás es que simplemente hace perfecto lo que quiere hacer, crea este mundo maravilloso, relajante, en el que nomás te quieres meter. Es encantador, está hecho súper bonito y te deja con una sensación cálida, feliz.. en serio, sobre todo si andan estresados o nomás necesitan una dosis de anime que les dé confort puro, véanlo!
