A Family Walk Full of Magic...

Happy Wednesday everyone! A few days ago, I shared on Worldmappin the landscapes of a very special family trip to Ávila Mágica in northern Caracas. Today, as a continuation, I want to share a little bit of what this hike was like on that path high in the mountains, where you can see the city of Caracas to the south and the Caribbean Sea to the north. I've visited this place a few times, but none were as special as this one, where I was accompanied by my wife, my mother, my brother, and surely also my father, even if only in our hearts 🙏
¡Feliz Miércoles para todos!. Hace unos días compartí en Worldmappin los paisajes de un viaje familiar muy especial en Ávila Mágica en el norte de Caracas, y hoy como continuación quiero compartir un poco de lo que fue esta caminata en ese camino en lo alto de la cordillera, donde se aprecia la ciudad de Caracas hacia el sur y el mar caribe hacia el norte. He visitado este lugar pocas veces, pero ninguna fue tan especial como esta, donde me acompañó mi esposa, mi mamá, mi hermano y seguramente también mi papá, aunque sea dentro de nuestros corazones 🙏
 
First I need to make a parenthesis in this story and warn you that you will see my hair in an ultra natural 4k state, since we had been at the beach for several days and there was no way to comb it 😅 Now yes, this hike started with a bit of a cheat, since to get to the top we went up very comfortably in the cable car. I brought my mom to this wonderful place in the heights last December and she fell in love with it, but now it was my brother's turn since he had never had the opportunity to go up, and that made me very happy because his job is much more arduous than mine and I wanted him to have a pleasant experience on his trip.
Primero necesito hacer un paréntesis en esta historia y advertir que mi cabello lo verán en estado ultra natural 4k, ya que veníamos de varios días en la playa y no había manera de peinarlo 😅 Ahora sí, esta caminata inicio con algo de trampa, ya que para llegar a la cima subimos muy cómodos en el teleférico. A mí mamá la traje a este maravilloso lugar en las alturas el pasado Diciembre y quedó enamorada del mismo, pero ahora el turno era de mi hermano que nunca había tenido la oportunidad de subir, y eso me hizo muy feliz porque su trabajo es mucho más arduo que el mío y yo deseaba que tuviera una experiencia agradable en su viaje.
What the four of us loved most that afternoon was the weather. It was August, one of the warmest months of the year, and even so, up high, the breeze, the fog, and the cold made for a somewhat wintry experience (but without the snow). My brother fell in love with the weather here and was the only one who didn't bundle up. We kept sipping hot chocolate throughout our hike and enjoying the scenery. As I mentioned in my previous post, that day the clouds were settling in on the horizon, overlooking the sea that could be seen to the north. Night fell as we hiked, reached the Hotel Humboldt, and then started heading back toward the cable car, ending our vacation on a high note, preserving fond family memories for posterity, just like these photographs.
 
Lo que más amamos los cuatro esa tarde fue el clima. Estábamos en Agosto, uno de los meses más calientes del año, y aún así en las alturas la brisa, la neblina y el frío nos hicieron vivir una experiencia un poco invernal (pero sin nieve) 😅 mi hermano quedó enamorado del clima de este lugar y fue el único que no se abrigó. Nos mantuvimos tomando chocolate caliente durante nuestra caminata y disfrutando del paisaje. Como dije en mi post anterior, ese día las nubes se recostaban sobre el horizonte en el mar que se podía apreciar al norte. Nos agarró la noche caminando, llegamos hasta el Hotel Humbolt y luego nos comenzamos a regresar hacia el teleférico, para concluir nuestras vacaciones por todo lo alto y conservando gratos recuerdos familiares para la posteridad, tal como estas fotografías 🙏
