I think my wife and I are blessed among our group of friends, and it is that we had practically two months of vacation, while they had a weekend. This caused many jokes and laughter during our stay in Boca de Aroa, and in the end we enjoyed this reunion with all our souls, because although we are the best of friends, it seems that the time to meet and share together is more difficult every year... With the right people, it doesn't matter how much time passes, everything remains as we left it the last time, and we can't forget the WhatsApp group, but what is noticeable is that the years pass 😅 We can no longer wake up dancing like before, now the hours of sleep are untouchable 🤭
Creo que mi esposa y yo somos bendecidos entre nuestro grupo de amigos, y es que tuvimos prácticamente dos meses de vacaciones, mientras ellos tuvieron un fin de semana. Eso provocó muchos chistes y carcajadas en nuestra estancia en Boca de Aroa, y al final disfrutamos este reencuentro con toda el alma, porque aunque somos los mejores amigos, parece que el tiempo para encontrarnos y compartir juntos cada año es más difícil... Con la gente correcta no importa cuanto tiempo pase, todo sigue como lo dejamos la última vez, además de que no podemos olvidar el grupito de WhatsApp, pero lo que sí se nota que pasa son los años 😅 ya no podemos amanecer bailando como antes, ahora las horas de sueño son intocables 🤭
The night before, we dined like kings, and it's a good thing we did because it was possibly our last dinner as a group until our Christmas get-together. To close out the day, we cooked an endless grill because the girls miscalculated and had leftover food, but the good thing was that we practically had the next day's lunch already prepared. With our friends, we felt free to talk about any topic and sing together. In fact, we didn't have much choice the next morning. There was a power outage, and we had no choice but to go to the beach to play pelotas criollas, drink a couple of beers in moderation, and reheat the grill. It was something we didn't expect, but the stove was gas, so breakfast changed for everyone. A lot happened on that trip; inconveniences came and went, but everything made us laugh, and in the end, we were happy to share the time together.
La noche anterior cenamos como reyes, y que bueno que lo hicimos porque fue nuestra última cena como grupo posiblemente hasta nuestro encuentro navideño. Para cerrar el día preparamos una parrilla interminable, porque las chicas calcularon mal y la comida sobró, pero lo bueno es que teníamos prácticamente el almuerzo del día siguiente ya preparado. Con nuestros amigos nos sentimos libres de hablar de cualquier tema y cantar juntos, de hecho no tuvimos muchas opciones la mañana siguiente, hubo una falla eléctrica en el sector, y no tuvimos más opción que salir a la playa a jugar bolas criollas, beber un par de cervezas con moderación y volver a calentar la parrilla, fue algo que no nos esperábamos, pero la cocina era de gas, así que el desayuno cambió para todos. Pasó de todo en ese viaje, los inconvenientes iban y venían, pero todo nos daba risa, y es que al final estábamos felices de compartir el tiempo juntos.
I think the only thing I can't forgive the guys for was not joining me to watch the sunrise on the beach, but that didn't stop me, and with my poor wife, I had a dreamy time. When they got up, rested, things changed and the adventure continued. I always thank these people for the love they've shown me. Before, I was a very closed-off person, someone who preferred to stay home and had a hard time trusting people. It's not that I'm very trusting now; I think I've become somewhat reserved again, but with learning how to identify people of value, and my friends, our friends, have earned that title and much more... It's nice to know that there are people willing to take a couple of days off, even if the vacation is yours. They know it's one of the few moments to connect and catch up on life's stories... I'm already counting the days until our next meeting 🙏
Creo que lo único que no le perdono a los muchachos fue el hecho de que no me acompañaran a ver el amanecer en la playa, pero eso no me detuvo, y con la pobre de mi esposa pasé un momento de ensueño. Cuando ellos se levantaron, descansados la cosa cambió y la aventura continuó. Siempre agradezco a esta gente el cariño que me han dado, antes era una persona muy cerrada, el que prefería quedarse en casa y que le costaba confiar en la gente; no es que ahora sea muy confiado, creo que he vuelto un poco a ser reservado, pero con el aprendizaje de saber identificar a las personas de valor, y mis amigos, nuestros amigos se han ganado ese título y mucho más... Es bonito saber que hay personas dispuestas a tomarse un par de días libres, aunque las vacaciones sean tuyas. Saben que es uno de los pocos momentos para conectar y ponernos al día con los cuentos de la vida... Ya estoy contando los días para nuestro próximo encuentro 🙏
