Happy weekend! I send a sincere hug to all Hive travelers. Today I want to share a new place on the world map, and it's the beautiful Parque del Este, located in Miranda State, but also part of the Capital District of Venezuela. This month marked a year since I last visited its facilities, but it was worth making this trip so the daughter of one of my great friends could experience this wonderful place. It was a hot September day, so we went after lunch thinking it would be cooler 😅 It wasn't, but being a sunny day, it gave us dreamy moments and landscapes, as you can see in the following photographs.

¡Feliz fin de semana!. Envío un sincero abrazo para todos los viajeros de Hive. Hoy quiero compartir un nuevo lugar en el mapamundi, y se trata del hermoso Parque del Este, ubicado en el Estado Miranda, pero que a la vez forma parte del Distrito Capital de Venezuela. Precisamente este mes cumplí un año sin visitar sus instalaciones, pero valía la pena hacer este viaje para que la hija de uno de mis grandes amigos conociera este maravilloso lugar. Este fue un caluroso día de Septiembre, así que fuimos luego de la hora de almuerzo pensando que estaría más fresco 😅 No fue así, pero al ser un día soleado nos regaló momentos y paisajes de ensueño, como pueden observar en las siguientes fotografías.
***Xerophilous Garden*** 
Caracas's East Park has a lot to offer. It's located south of the Los Palos Grandes neighborhood, and from any point in it, you can see the imposing El Ávila Hill to the north, with clouds hovering above it. Entrance to this park is free; that day, we only paid $2 for parking, and scattered throughout various areas of the park are plenty of affordable places to eat. We took advantage of the opportunity to grab some burgers, since we hadn't eaten yet; it was the first thing we did, and then we started walking with the girl, who led us to the areas she wanted to see first; after all, it was the novelty for her 😍
***Planetario Humboldt*** 
El Parque del Este de Caracas tiene mucho que ofrecer. Está ubicado al sur de la zona de Los Palos Grandes, y desde cualquier punto del mismo se puede apreciar al norte el imponente Cerro El Ávila, con nubes recostadas sobre el. La entrada a este parque es gratis, ese día solo pagamos 2$ por el estacionamiento y en disperso en varias zonas del lugar hay muchos negocios para comer con precios económicos. Nosotros aprovechamos de comer unas hamburguesas, ya que no habíamos comido; fue lo primero que hicimos y luego comenzamos a caminar con la niña guiándonos hacia las zonas que ella quería ver primero, después de todo, la novedad era para ella 😍
***Carlos Guinand Lake*** 
There are many parks in the Capital District, but I've always said that Parque del Este is the best and most elegant. Officially, this place is now called Parque Generalísimo Francisco de Miranda, and you can also get there by public transportation and the Caracas metro, specifically at the Miranda Station. There's a Xerophilous Garden here, which was the first thing we visited that day, but you can also see attractions like the small Carlos Guinand Lake or the Humboldt Planetarium. In the heart of the park is a small zoo, and to the east, a new children's playground called BrincaEste, which the girl made us go in 😅
Hay muchos parques en el Distrito Capital, pero siempre he dicho que el Parque del Este es el mejor y más elegante. Oficialmente ahora este lugar se llama Parque Generalísimo Francisco de Miranda, y se puede llegar también en transporte público y en el metro de Caracas, específicamente en la Estación Miranda. Aquí hay un Jardín Xerófilo, que fue lo primero que visitamos ese día, pero también se puede apreciar atracciones como el pequeño lago Carlos Guinand o el Planetario Humbolt. En el corazón del mismo queda un pequeño zoológico y hacia el este una nueva atracción de juegos para niños llamada BrincaEste, donde obligatoriamente la niña nos hizo entrar 😅
***Boat Lake***   
The Boat Lake area is the most special for me. Unlike the previous lake, this one is very large and people can hop on a small boat, an experience I've never had the few times I've visited this place. This lake offers the best views and reflections of the imposing Ávila mountain in the water. There's also a replica of Francisco de Miranda's ship Leander, which serves as a museum, and I haven't visited it either. Perhaps next time I travel here, I'll venture inside. We had a great time that day, and the sunset caught us. It's a safe place, with lots of friendly people and plenty to explore. If you visit Caracas, you have to make this a must-see stop 🙏
  
La zona del Lago de los Botes es la más especial para mí. A diferencia del lago anterior, este si es muy grande y las personas se pueden subir a un pequeño bote, una experiencia que nunca he vivido las pocas veces que he visitado este lugar. En este lago se ven las mejores vistas y reflejos de la imponente montaña El Ávila del norte en el agua, además, aquí hay una réplica del barco Leander de Francisco de Miranda, que funciona como museo y tampoco he visitado, quizás la próxima vez que viaje hasta aquí me atreva a entrar. Ese día estuvimos muy a gusto y nos agarró el atardecer. Un lugar seguro, con mucha gente amigable y con mucho para recorrer. Si visitas la ciudad de Caracas tienes que hacer esta parada obligatoria 🙏
