Madrid Royal Palace
A big hug to everyone at Worldmappin! I wish you all a great start to the weekend... Today I want to share a little about my trip to Madrid, the city I explored the most when visiting Spain, and which at the same time was like seeing without touching, since it was the most crucial days of Holy Week and everything was closed, and at the same time all my walks were generally at night... Hoy quiero compartir un poco sobre mi viaje a Madrid, la ciudad que más exploré al visitar España, y que al mismo tiempo fue como ver y no tocar, ya que eran los días más cruciales de la Semana Santa y todo estaba cerrado, y al mismo tiempo todos mis paseos eran generalmente nocturnos... I found it to be a beautiful, modern, and even perfect city, although it was the first city I visited outside of Venezuela, and perhaps that influences my opinion. However, the Plaza Mayor is definitely one of my favorite places in the world. The area around the Royal Palace is very special, but I was only able to appreciate it from the outside, including the gardens...
Siempre he escrito aquí en Hive sobre mi experiencia en Madrid, me pareció una ciudad hermosa, moderna y hasta perfecta, aunque fue la primera ciudad que conocí fuera de Venezuela y quizás eso influye, pero definitivamente la Plaza Mayor es uno de mis lugares preferidos en el mundo. La zona del Palacio Real es muy especial, pero solo pude apreciarla desde afuera, incluso los jardines...
As you can see in the pictures, it was a rainy night in early spring, which meant we had to walk very quickly to explore the area and reach the most iconic places, guided by our good friends @ph1102 and @mipiano. In just a few hours, we were able to appreciate the beauty of the Royal Palace, the Cathedral of Santa María la Real de la Almudena, the Royal Theater, the Plaza Mayor, the Plaza de Armería, and more...
Como pueden ver en las imágenes, fue una noche de lluvia a inicios de primavera, lo que hizo que la exploración de la zona fuera caminando muy rápido para llegar a los lugares más icónicos, guiados por nuestros buenos amigos @ph1102 y @mipiano. En pocas horas apreciamos la belleza del Palacio Real, la Catedral de Santa María la Real de la Almudena, el Teatro Real, la Plaza Mayor, la Plaza de Armería y demás...

Everything in Madrid is very elegant, and I was very impressed by the buildings. It's no wonder that it's one of the world's top tourist destinations. I think what I liked most is that people respect every corner of the city; it's as if everyone contributes to making it perfect. I live in Venezuela, a place where sunrise and sunset are always at the same time, but here, and I imagine in the rest of Europe, everything changes depending on the season. In Madrid, it got dark really late, after 10 p.m., and that's another detail that I found special about my trip.
En Madrid todo es muy elegante y las edificaciones me impresionaron mucho, no es para menos que sea uno de los principales destinos turísticos del mundo. Creo que lo que más me ha gustado es que las personas respetan mucho cada rincón, es como si todos contribuyeran a que la ciudad sea perfecta. Yo vivo en Venezuela, un lugar donde amanece y anochece a la misma hora siempre, pero aquí y me imagino que en el resto de Europa todo cambia dependiendo de la estación. En Madrid oscureció realmente tarde, luego de las 22 horas, y es otro detalle que consideré especial en mi viaje.
There is one detail that nobody told me when I traveled to Madrid. When I returned to Venezuela, they told me that I should have touched the bear's rear end in Plaza del Sol, and that this would ensure that I would return to the city. I didn't do it, but I hope this belief is false, because I loved Madrid. It's such a delightful city to live in, so if you're planning to visit Madrid soon, be sure to touch the buttocks of this popular character 😅 Thank you all for traveling with us through these photographs 🙏

Hay un detalle que nadie me dijo al viajar a Madrid. Al regresar a Venezuela me dijeron que debí tocarle el trasero al oso de Plaza del Sol, y que eso aseguraría que volvería a la ciudad. No lo hice, pero espero esta creencia sea falsa, porque amé Madrid, es una ciudad tan deliciosa como para vivir en ella, así que si estás planeando visitar Madrid pronto, asegúrate de tocar las nalgas de este popular personaje 😅 Gracias a todos por viajar junto a nosotros a través de estas fotografías 🙏
