Greetings to the Hive Open Mic community! We are in week 249 and the dynamics of this edition is the Travel theme. This time I will sing a song written by the Guatemalan Ricardo Arjona, and I think it is one of the most sincere and full of love of his repertoire, however this composition I met when I heard in 2003 the album Almas del Silencio by Ricky Martin, and this is precisely the version that I will share with you today.

En esta oportunidad cantaré una canción de la autoría del guatemalteco Ricardo Arjona, y creo que es una de las más sinceras y cargadas de amor de su repertorio, sin embargo esta composición la conocí cuando escuché en 2003 el álbum Almas del Silencio de Ricky Martin, y precisamente esta es la versión que les compartiré hoy.
This song touched my heart from the first moment I heard it, it talks about a man who has been very successful in life, and by giving so much attention to vanity and material things, he gradually left aside the person he loves and considers it his unfinished business. How is it possible to leave the person you love for later, that does not fit in my mind, and since then I have always said that nothing will be more important to me than the people I value most in my life, and I have a commitment to myself that it will always be so. >Esta canción tocó mi corazón desde el primer momento en que la oí, habla sobre un hombre que ha tenido mucho éxito en la vida, y por darle tanta atención a la vanidad y a lo material, fue dejando de lado poco a poco la persona que ama y la considera su asignatura pendiente. ¿Cómo es posible que se pueda dejar para luego a la persona amada?, eso no cabe en mi mente, y desde entonces siempre he dicho que nada tendrá más importancia para mí que las personas que más valoro en mi vida, y tengo un compromiso conmigo mismo de que así sea siempre.
Asignatura Pendiente, I relate this song to this week's theme because I feel it as a man who went on a work trip, a trip that he has enjoyed very much, but feels the emptiness of not having done it with the right people, in fact life itself is a journey, and no matter how much we have a destination in mind there are always variations that bring us closer to unknown places. For better or for worse, we should all enjoy the journey of life, many times it is bitter, but we have the capacity to make it more comfortable with our good disposition.... I wish you to be very mindful of who you let on as a passenger in the journey of your life, never forget that the pilot is you 🙏 >Asignatura Pendiente, relaciono esta canción con el tema de esta semana porque la siento como un hombre que se fue a un viaje de trabajo, un viaje que ha disfrutado mucho, pero que siente el vacío de no haberlo hecho con las personas correctas, de hecho la vida en sí es un viaje, y por más que tengamos un destino en mente siempre hay variaciones que nos acercan a lugares desconocidos. Para bien o para mal, todos deberíamos disfrutar el viaje de la vida, muchas veces es amarga, pero tenemos la capacidad de hacerlo más cómodo con nuestra buena disposición... Deseo que estés muy pendiente de a quien dejas subir como pasajero en el viaje de tu vida, nunca olvides que el piloto eres tú 🙏
