And thus concludes our participation in the vigil, canonization, and celebration of the first two Venezuelan saints, Saint José Gregorio Hernández and Saint Carmen Rendiles. What a joy to have experienced this moment in the best way I could: singing! I think that made the whole experience magical for me, in addition to being a practicing Catholic for as long as I can remember. On Saturday, a mass was scheduled to be held at the Monumental Stadium, the same venue where our concert with Andrea Bocelli took place in February. However, due to the number of parishioners who were going to be left out, it was decided to hold it in different parishes across the country.
Y de esta manera concluye todo lo que ha sido nuestra participación en la vigilia, canonización y celebración de los dos primeros santos venezolanos, San José Gregorio Hernández y Santa Carmen Rendiles. ¡Que alegría haber vivido este momento de la mejor manera que pude: Cantando!!! Creo que eso hizo mágica toda la experiencia para mí, además de ser católico practicante desde que tengo uso de razón. El día Sábado se iba a realizar una misa masiva en el Estadio Monumental, el mismo lugar donde fue nuestro concierto con Andrea Bocelli en Febrero, pero debido a la cantidad de feligreses que iban a quedar por fuera se decidió hacerlo en las distintas parroquias del país.

This Mass we sang was a union of both groups, the boys who went to Mexico and those of us who were in Italy, so all 90 singers were present. It was a bit strange for me; I was in a 22-person chamber choir all of September and October, and having that entire choral mass behind me again felt very robust in terms of sound. The other thing is that our voices were already noticeably tired, but we had to complete these commitments before a well-deserved rest that begins today.

Esta misa que hemos cantado fue la unión de ambos grupos, los chicos que fueron a México y los que estuvimos en Italia, así que estuvimos los 90 cantantes completos. Para mí fue algo extraño, estuve todo el mes de Septiembre y Octubre en un coro de cámara de 22 personas, y volver a tener a toda esa masa coral detrás de mí se sintió muy robusto en cuanto a sonido. Lo otro es que ya estábamos notablemente cansados de la voz, pero debíamos completar estos compromisos antes de un merecido descanso que comienza hoy.
This Mass and musical presentation took place at Our Lady of Coromoto Church, in the El Paraíso area of Caracas. It was the main Mass of all those held throughout the country, presided over by the Monsignor and the highest Venezuelan ecclesiastical authorities. I am truly grateful to have been part of this whole story, and now all that's left is to meet up with my family and friends to give them souvenirs and tell them about the many wonders I experienced on the trip. I think what has left me most happy is the level of the music we made, in addition to that sublime sound, worthy of so many sacred places I've visited this past month 🙏
Esta misa y presentación musical se llevó a cabo en la Iglesia Nuestra Señora de Coromoto, en la zona de El Paraíso, Caracas y fue la misa principal de todas las que se llevaron a cabo en el interior del país, presidida por monseñor y las primeras autoridades eclesiásticas venezolanas. Yo he quedado totalmente agradecido de haber sido parte de toda esta historia, y ya solo me queda encontrarme con mi familia y amigos para regalarles sus souvenires y contarles tantas maravillas que viví en el viaje. Creo que lo que me ha dejado más feliz en el nivel de la música que hicimos, además de ese sonido sublime, digno de tantos lugares sagrados que he conocido este último mes 🙏
