Happy start to the week, everyone! It's been a while since I last visited Hive's Architecture and Design community, and this will always be a pleasant place for me, as I love the diverse interior design and large buildings in the cities I visit. Today I want to share a different post, as it's just about a small inn where I stayed the last week of August, located in the Camurí area of La Guiara, Venezuela. This place is called La Piña, a cozy place located just a few minutes' walk from various beaches in this region.
¡Feliz inicio de semana para todos!. Tenía tiempo sin pasar por la comunidad de Arquitectura y Diseño de Hive, y este siempre será un lugar grato para mí, ya que amo el distinto diseño de interiores y de grandes edificaciones en las ciudades que visito. Hoy quiero compartir un post diferente, ya que solo se trata de una pequeña posada donde me alojé la última semana de Agosto, ubicada en la zona de Camurí, en el Estado La Guiara de Venezuela. Este lugar de hospedaje se llama La Piña, una acogedora que se encuentra a pocos minutos a pie de diferentes playas en esta región.
I don't have a photo of the exterior of this place, and it looks like a very ordinary house, nothing attractive. However, upon entering, you find a small reception area and immediately notice a small pool to the right and lots of apple green and mustard colors. With a palm tree in the central courtyard, you can tell the atmosphere is beachy, although I think the pool area is very small for a place that has more than 10 family-sized guest rooms. The good thing is that we were all on the beach, and in my case, I only focused on appreciating the courtyard and the warm pool.
No tengo una fotografía de la fachada de este lugar, y es que luce como una casa muy normal, nada atractiva, pero al entrar, te encuentras con una pequeña recepción e inmediatamente ves una pequeña piscina a la derecha y muchos colores verde manzana y mostaza. Con una palmera en el patio central se nota que el ambiente es playero, aunque me parece que la zona de la piscina es muy pequeña para un lugar que tiene más de 10 habitaciones de tamaño familiar para huéspedes. Lo bueno es que todos estábamos en la playa, y en mi caso solo me enfoqué en apreciar el patio y la cálida piscina.
More than just a room, we stayed in a full apartment, with a living room, kitchen, bathroom, and two bedrooms: one double where I stayed with my wife, and another with two beds where my mom and brother stayed. The apartment had a beautiful earth-colored floor and gray walls with a yellow stripe, quite cozy. There was no air conditioning in the living room, but the air conditioning in the bedrooms was so powerful that it reached every area of the apartment.
Más que una habitación, nos hospedamos en un apartamento completo, con sala, cocina baños y dos habitaciones, una matrimonial donde me quedé con mi esposa y una con dos camas donde se quedó mi mamá y mi hermano. El apartamento tenía un hermoso piso color tierra y paredes grises con una franja amarilla, bastante acogedor. No tenía aire acondicionado en la sala, pero el de las habitaciones era tan potente que llegaba hasta todas las zonas del apartamento.
The apartment had a fun terrace overlooking the pool area, and we were located on the third floor. This terrace featured a comfortable sofa, a beanbag, and a hammock, perfect for family time. It was also covered to protect guests from the sun. The rooms were very large and comfortable, with extra-large closets and beds of various sizes—king, queen, and single, depending on the room. The rooms appeared dark thanks to the dark-colored blackout curtains and the large, wall-length closets painted black. This inn gave us the feeling of being in a hotel, and despite being a beach trip, this time I didn't see any insects anywhere in the apartment where we stayed.
El apartamento tenía una divertida terraza con vista hacia el área de la piscina y estábamos ubicados en el tercer piso. En esta terraza había un cómodo sofá, un puf y una hamaca, ideal para pasar el rato en familia, además de estar techado para proteger a los huéspedes del sol. Las habitaciones eran muy grandes y cómodas, con closets extra grandes, y camas de diversos tamaños, King, Queen e individual dependiendo de la habitación. Los cuartos lucen oscuros al contar con cortinas blackout de colores oscuros y por los grandes closets que se llevan toda una pared pintados de negro. Esta posada nos dio la sensación de estar en un hotel, y es que a pesar de ser un viaje a la playa, en esta ocasión no tuve que ver insectos en ninguna zona del apartamento donde nos hospedamos.
In conclusion, I highly recommend this place to anyone looking to spend a few days on beautiful, remote beaches on the Venezuelan coast. [Pineapple Inn](https://www.instagram.com/posadalapina/) is located in Camurí, the first block from the main avenue, right next to the river. Its facade isn't impressive, but inside, it's the cozy vacation spot we're all looking for. Prices range from $25 for the smallest rooms to $45 for larger ones like the one I chose. Su fachada no impresiona, pero por dentro es el lugar acogedor que todos buscamos para vacacionar.
