I've been meaning to write about that day for a while, but it definitely had to be a Sunday, because that sublime feeling seems to be even more special on that day of the week. Sundays have many meanings for me, and I love them all. The basic Sunday is spent at home with my wife binge-watching TV series, although that happens the least. Sundays are the normal day I have concerts with the choir, but they're also usually the fixed day I've used since childhood to go to church, although work sometimes prevents it. On the other hand, those who follow me here on Hive know that it's an ideal day for hiking with friends and connecting with nature.
Tenía tiempo tratando de escribir sobre ese día, pero definitivamente tenía que ser un Domingo, y es que ese sentimiento sublime parece ser más especial ese día de la semana. Los Domingos tienen muchos significados para mí, y todos me gustan mucho. El Domingo básico es pasarlo en casa junto a mi esposa viendo maratones de series de TV, aunque es el que menos ocurre. Los Domingos son el día normal que tengo conciertos con la coral, pero también suele ser el día fijo que desde la infancia uso para ir a la iglesia, aunque las actividades del trabajo a veces lo impiden. Por otro lado, quienes me siguen aquí en Hive, saben que es un día ideal para hacer senderismo con los amigos y conectar con la naturaleza.
There’s a passion for hiking, and doing it alone is an enriching activity for the soul, body, and mind. But I can’t deny that doing it with friends is still very special; it boosts your energy, even if it’s just a bit of a challenge to agree and all be on the same day. We’re on vacation right now, and I thought we’d be spending more time hiking at the top of Caracas’s peaks, but no, actually climbing has been more exclusive, but that’s fine with me. In fact, I desperately needed a break from my routine, and I’ve been surrounded by my family and the ocean all August. But today, the 31st and last month, I think my passion is ignited again, so it’s time to take advantage of the time I have left to venture into the mountains. I hope my friends can join me; it’s truly exciting to be with them.
Hay una pasión del hecho de hacer senderismo, y hacerlo solo es una actividad enriquecedora del alma, el cuerpo y la mente, pero no puedo negar que hacerlo con amigos es muy especial aún, la energía aumenta, aunque sea un poco ponernos de acuerdo y coincidir todos el mismo día. Justo ahora estamos de vacaciones, y pensé que pasaríamos más horas caminando en la cima de los picos caraqueños, pero no, el hecho de subir ha sido más exclusivo 🤣 pero me parece bien, de hecho yo necesitaba urgentemente un descanso de la rutina y he estado rodeado de mi familia y del mar durante el mes de Agosto; pero hoy, 31 y último de mes creo que mi pasión se enciende nuevamente, así que es momento de aprovechar el tiempo que me queda para aventurarme a la montaña, y espero que mis amigos puedan acompañarme, realmente es muy emocionante junto a ellos dos.
I will always recommend everyone to take time to connect with nature, the beach, the rivers, the mountains. It seems that we have something natural that connects us with all of it, and it is like an engine that ignites our souls and helps us continue. In fact, I wish I had known this before, but I also understand that things come at the perfect time. Now it is part of me to allow myself time to get away from the everyday world and I understand that rest is important for the body. I enjoy every moment of the day, of the week, every moment of life, both the good and the bad. Day by day we are filled with all kinds of knowledge, and it is sad to see that some people seem to struggle to stay in their comfort zone, even though life shows them that there is something more. But I am glad that I am not one of those, and I hope to continue taking advantage of every sublime moment that the universe gives me, and embrace it with a big smile.
Siempre recomendaré a todos que dediquen un tiempo para conectar con la naturaleza, la playa, los ríos, las montañas, parece que tenemos algo natural que nos conecta con todo ello, y es como un motor que enciende nuestras almas y nos ayuda a continuar, de hecho, me gustaría haberlo sabido antes, pero también entiendo que las cosas llegan en el momento perfecto. Ahora es parte de mí el permitirme tiempo de alejarme del mundo cotidiano y entiendo que el descanso es importante para el cuerpo. Disfruto cada momento del día, de la semana, cada momento de la vida, tanto los buenos como los malos. Día a día nos vamos llenando de todo tipo de conocimientos, y es triste ver que algunas personas parecen luchar por quedarse en su zona de confort, aunque la vida les muestra que hay algo más, pero me alegra no ser de eso, y espero seguir aprovechando cada momento sublime que me regale el universo, y abrazarlo con una gran sonrisa 🙏
