My history with mobile phones is one of love and hate at the same time... I understand all the benefits of being connected to the world through it, but in recent months it has brought me more disappointments than joys, just this week life has given me a new low blow, and again my cell phone was an accomplice of this bad time, so I made the decision to disconnect once again from applications like whatsApp, and in fact I plan to spend a weekend away from what hurts me, so this question that Galenkp asks us has come to me at an opportune moment of analysis, as I need to reconnect with myself before Christmas arrives where I need to be 100% for the people I love. It is definite, I do have the capacity to spend my Saturday and Sunday without my mobile phone, at this moment of my life I just have to warn my girl and my mom in case they do not accompany me that I will be disconnected for a few days, but in fact it is a constant practice in my life and I recommend it, since through the mobile we generally connect with work, vices and leisure, and there is a life outside the mobile waiting for us, and also valuable people for us. More than a weekend, I think I have the ability to get away from it for a long time, in fact if something is very important, I am sure that news will reach me somehow, even if I don't have my cell phone with me.

I know that not many people think the same way I do, and I may be very strict on this subject, but over the years I have discovered that I don't like cell phones, and sometimes I feel that it is not because of me, but because of the people who have caused me to feel that way. I honestly miss the days when people were forced to call your local home number; you were ready to talk on the phone and in fact you could refuse to answer when you didn't want to through one of your family members or pretend I wasn't home if I was doing something more important. But now it is different, it seems that intimacy has no days off. Whoever knows me knows that I don't pay attention to my cell phone, days can even go by when I don't check messages and the main social networks, my thing is to spend hours on the computer and forget about the world and the closest thing to communicate with others is Hive, but this platform doesn't bother me at all, in fact it makes me happy. But it has been unpleasant to read messages from people complaining that I haven't replied to a greeting or then letting me know in person that they are upset that I don't check my phone, as if my life is theirs and as if I have to be 100% available at any time of the day... I think that's wrong, I don't do that to anyone. What advantages would I get from disconnecting from my cell phone for a whole weekend? Peace... Finding myself again and really feeling that I had a Saturday and Sunday away from reality and rebuilding my own integrity as a person. We can no longer leave for later the most valuable thing which is our mental health and our family, let's not be slaves of technology and let's look up for a while to observe and enjoy our environment. These pictures are not from a cell phone, but they are usually the faces I make when I am pulled out of the peace of a Sunday afternoon to give me unpleasant news that could wait until Monday, so it was fun for me to share them in this #weekend-engagement 183.
