A couple of weeks ago Leire Martinez's first song as a soloist was released, she was the lead singer of La Oreja de Van Gogh until last year, and she was the one who replaced the great Amaia Montero, the singer who gave the band its first hits. Leire stayed as lead singer for 17 years, it was a long career, but I've come to think that something is going on with the guys in the band, it can't be that the girls always have to leave the group. Hace un par de semanas ha salido la primera canción de Leire Martínez como solista, ella era la vocalista de La Oreja de Van Gogh hasta el año pasado, y fue quien suplantó a la gran Amaia Montero, la intérprete que le dio sus primeros éxitos a la banda. Leire se mantuvo como cantante principal por 17 años, fue una larga carrera, pero he llegado a pensar que algo pasa con los chicos de la banda, no puede ser que las chicas siempre tengan que abandonar la agrupación. Igual su nueva canción es impresionante, así que les invito a oír su voz.

La voz potente y dulce y con una letra de la canción que nos hace preguntarnos si es un mensaje especial para los chicos que la despidieron el año pasado, ya que la canción tiene furia, y la intención de hacer notar su voz como solista. No ha tenido tanto éxito de momento, pero imagino que tendrá que abrirse camino poco a poco y hacerse su propio nombre ahora, no dejen de apoyarla...

I remember that many of us were upset because Amaia Montero had left the group, and we didn't know what to expect with this new singer, but wow, to begin with, her voice was very similar to Amaia's, but her charisma made us love her from the first moment. El Último Vals es una canción especial, fue la primera y un placer para todos los fans, aunque era el inicio de una nueva etapa para La Oreja De Van Gogh.

I think this song was the last song to consolidate Leire's place in La Oreja de Van Gogh. Jueves is a beautiful ballad in commemoration of that terrorist attack on the Madrid trains on March 11, 2004. She was the perfect interpreter for a song that we continue to sing to this day, and if you haven't heard it yet then play this video and let yourself be moved by this music, my favorite song of the band. >Creo que esta canción terminó de consolidar a Leire en la Oreja de Van Gogh. Jueves es una balada hermosa en conmemoración a aquel ataque terrorista en los trenes de Madrid del 11 de Marzo de 2004. Fue la intérprete perfecta para un tema musical que seguimos cantando hasta la actualidad, y si aún no la has escuchado entonces reproduce este video y déjate conmover con esta música, mi canción favorita de la banda.
