A garden full of fruit, beauty, and flavor (English/Spanish)

A warm greeting to all my friends at Hive, especially those who love the beauty of gardens. Today I want to share with you a wonderful experience I had with one of the plants in the garden of the house where I am currently living: a passion fruit vine. I had never had this type of plant so close before, and I have enjoyed every part of the process. It has bloomed spectacularly this season. The green passion fruit vines adorn the landscape with their beautiful flowers and green and yellow fruits, creating a simply amazing display of color.  A few days ago, I made an infusion with the flowers, which is the name of the flower. You can see this interesting process in the post I left in the hyperlink. Passion fruit, also known as maracuyá, is a tropical plant that is not only beautiful to look at but also has a number of health benefits. I did some more research on this plant and discovered that passion fruit is rich in antioxidants, vitamins C and A, as well as minerals such as potassium, iron, and phosphorus. In addition, it has been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties and help calm the nervous system, making it an excellent ally in combating stress and anxiety.  Having a passion fruit vine at home is truly a blessing. Not only for its beauty and health properties, but also because it is a versatile plant that easily adapts to different types of soil and climatic conditions. In addition, its delicious and refreshing fruit can be used in a wide variety of recipes, from desserts and smoothies to sauces. In fact, I want to tell you about some of the things I make with these fruits from my own garden.   In addition to the traditional juice, I also made a milkshake, but what I loved most was my classic passion fruit cake. I adore this cake because I make it with all the pulp, including the seeds, which are roasted in the oven. When you eat the cake, your bite hits these delicious roasted seeds, and it's a fascinating sensation and texture.   I also prepared a sweet and sour sauce to accompany Chinese-style rice, which is very popular here in Venezuela. The flavor of fresh passion fruit gave this sauce a very special touch. I usually make it with pineapple, but when I got my hands on this incredible harvest, I didn't hesitate to make the sweet and sour sauce with passion fruit.  My dear Aly and I have only been living in this house for a short time, but one of the things we like most about this space is having so many fruit trees in the same garden and having their fruits within reach. The most surprising thing about this passion fruit vine I'm telling you about is that it is intertwined with other fruit trees: a tamarind, a guava, and a mango. This wonderful combination of species not only creates a diverse and balanced environment in the garden, but also gives us the opportunity to enjoy fresh and delicious fruits.  Living in the countryside and being able to enjoy this wonderful synergy between plants and trees is a unique and unparalleled experience. Nature offers us endless opportunities to connect with it and appreciate its beauty, generosity, and wisdom. Every day I am grateful for the opportunity to coexist in harmony with the flora and fauna that surround us, and to enjoy the gifts that the earth so generously offers us. Living in a rural community is almost like living in a giant garden.  Having a beautiful passion fruit vine in the garden is a real blessing, as is living in the countryside and being able to enjoy so much beauty. All of this is an experience that fills my heart with gratitude and admiration for nature. Such beauty is so close at hand, which I find when I go out into the garden. **Un jardín lleno de frutas, belleza y sabor (Ingles/Español)** Un saludo amoroso para todos mis amigos de Hive, especialmente para los amantes de la belleza de los jardines. El día de hoy quiero compartirles una preciosa experiencia con una de las plantas del jardín de la casa en la que estoy viviendo en estos momentos, se trata de una enredadera de maracuya. Nunca había tenido este tipo de planta tan cerca y he disfrutado cada parte del proceso. Ella ha florecido de una manera espectacular esta temporada. Las trepadoras verdes de la maracuyá adornan el paisaje con sus hermosas flores y frutas verdes y amarillas, creando un espectáculo de color simplemente asombroso. La maracuyá, también conocida como la fruta de la pasión, en Venezuela se conoce como Parchita, es una planta tropical que no solo es hermosa a la vista, sino que también posee una serie de beneficios para la salud. Investigué un poco más sobre esta planta y descubrí que la maracuyá es rica en antioxidantes, vitaminas C y A, así como minerales como potasio, hierro y fósforo. Además, se ha demostrado que tiene propiedades antiinflamatorias y ayuda a calmar el sistema nervioso, siendo un excelente aliado para combatir el estrés y la ansiedad.  Tener una enredadera de maracuyá en casa es verdaderamente una bendición. No solo por su belleza y sus propiedades saludables, sino también porque es una planta versátil que se adapta fácilmente a diferentes tipos de suelo y condiciones climáticas. Además, su fruto delicioso y refrescante puede ser utilizado en una amplia variedad de recetas, desde postres y batidos hasta salsas. De hecho quiero comentarles algunas de las cosas que prepare con estas frutas de mi propio jardín.   Ademas del tradicional jugo, también realice un batido con leche, pero lo que mas me encanto fue mi clásica torta de maracuya. Adoro esta torta porque la preparo con toda la pulpa incluyendo las semillas, estas se tuestan en el orno y a la hora de comer la torta la mordida se tropieza con estas deliciosas semillas tortadas y es una sensación y textura fascinante.   Ademas también prepare una salsa agridulce, para acompañar un arroz con estilo Chino, que es muy popular aquí en Venezuela. El sabor de la parchita fresca le dio un toque muy especial a esta salsa, que generalmente la hago con piña, pero cuando tuve en mis manos esta increíble cosecha, no dude en hacer la agridulce con parchita.  Mi querida Aly y yo vivimos en esta casa hace poco, pero esta es una de las cosas que mas nos ha gustado de este espacio, tener tantas platas frutales en el mismo jardín y tener sus frutos al alcance de la mano. Pues lo más sorprendente de esta enredadera de maracuyá de la que les hablo, es que se encuentra entrelazada en otros árboles frutales: un tamarindo, un guayaba y un mango. Esta maravillosa combinación de especies no solo crea un entorno diverso y equilibrado en el jardín, sino que también nos brinda la oportunidad de disfrutar de frutas frescas y deliciosas.  Vivir en el campo y poder disfrutar de esta maravillosa sinergia entre plantas y árboles es una experiencia única e inigualable. La naturaleza nos brinda infinitas oportunidades para conectar con ella y apreciar su belleza, su generosidad y su sabiduría. Cada día me siento agradecida por tener la oportunidad de coexistir en armonía con la flora y la fauna que nos rodea, y de poder disfrutar de los regalos que nos ofrece la tierra con tanta generosidad. Y es que vivir en una comunidad del campo, es casi como vivir en un jardín gigante.  Tener una hermosa enredadera de maracuyá en el jardín es una verdadera bendición, así como vivir en el campo y poder disfrutar de tanta belleza. Todo esto es una experiencia que me llena el corazón de gratitud y admiración por la naturaleza. Una belleza tan cercana, que encuentro al salir al jardín.
