THE ROAD TO STABILITY

I just want to share my journey where I am thankful for where I am now today even my job is like a roller coster where I have to go there, do this, do that.

My journey hasn't been easy. In 2019, I lost my job because of politics. I was devastated, but I promised myself to stand on my own and start something new. However, it wasn't that simple. I applied to a private company and landed a job as an operations manager in 2020. It was a great opportunity, but the pandemic hit, and the company had to close temporarily. I continued working as an on-call employee, but eventually, I had to resign in 2021 to take care of my sick father. After my father passed away, I was appointed as a Barangay Kagawad, but it didn't work out. I had to sacrifice too much time without a stable income, so I resigned. I then applied as a part-time enumerator and started a small BBQ stand. Things got tough again when some relatives scammed us, and we lost money. I felt like giving up, but my uncle called me with an opportunity. He became a licensed contractor and offered me a job as his personal secretary and laiaison officer. I accepted, and he invested in my training.

In 2024, things started to look up. I got project bonuses, met new people, and even landed part-time bookkeeping jobs. I'm grateful for my uncle's support and the contractors who believed in me. They pushed me to be better and become a good provider for my family. I've learned that instead of looking of all my failures, it is better should focus on moving forward. Indeed, God uses people to help us realize our worth and our potential. I'm thankful for the people who've helped me along the way, and I'm excited for what's next.
