I hope everyone is having a good time! For today's Holozing art, I wanted to draw forest healer surrounded by glowing pink butterflies in a forest. The concept is inspired by this reference.
Art Process
The sketching is the fun part because I can bend the reference that I got from Pinterest. I incorporated the characteristics of Forest healer like the wavy hair and long eyelashes.
I want to go easy with my hard and solid lineart, I am trying to use soft brushes. Except for the eyes, I wanted to still use solid g-pen.
Before starting with the base color, I finished the eye first. Colors are separated in different layers. To complement the green hair I went for an old rose color for the clothing. Next, apply the soft shadows.
I tried experimenting with different colors for the background here. I chose dark blue and green. I then manually made tree trunks for the background and blurred them out. The grass below is manually drawn using a flat brush and the tree's slanded trunk.
Final Art
Finally adding the glows and glitters. Most part, glow dodge mode is applied on the layer above the base colors. I added pink glows to the nearby subjects such as the hair, the log, and the bushes. I blur some parts to give the art a dimension.
