I am happy to say I got second place in last week's art contest, yipeee! I did not expect it because I thought I did a bad job on the apple.
This is my fan art of the card Electric Eels 😊
Art Process
- sketch and lineart
Since I just drew one eel, I had the opportunity to focus on one subject, hehe. This gave me more time to think about the background for later.
- base color and initial shading
Even thought on the original card, there's no spots, I added some on mine just for the eel skin's texture.
- Added more shadows and started adding the seaweeds and kelps on the background.
Final Art
Finally, adding the electric effect.
