Friday arrived, and with it, my fifth post for my "Black & White Week"... Today I went out very early to wander the streets a bit... Immediately, as soon as I walked outside, I noticed that "for once again" our country seems to be on the front pages of international news. So, this causes people on the streets to say things, ask questions, and even argue among themselves about issues related to what's happening in our country, whether inside or outside our borders... In this, let's say, "somewhat complex" environment, I'm still there, as always, wandering around like "the crazy guy with the camera in his hand" (that's what some affectionately call me here), and over the years I've become more level-headed. Well, a while ago, people would start asking me for my opinion on what's happening here, especially regarding politics. But I know from experience that taking a position here wins you friends on some streets and loses them on others. So over time I just learned to answer evasively or even "incoherently" 😂 Here we call that "playing dumb" 😂 and my father used to say that: "He who learns to play dumb, can live happily anywhere" and believe me, Dad was a faithful practitioner of that technique! 🤣... Llegó el viernes y con el, también llegó mi quinta publicación para mi "Semana Blanco y Negro"... Hoy salí muy temprano a deambular en las calles un poco. Inmediatamente, apenas estuve caminado fuera, noté que "por una vez más" nuestro país parece estar en las primeras planas de los noticieros internaciones. Entonces, esto hace que las personas en las calles diga cosas, pregunten cosas y hasta discutan entre ellas por cuestiones relativas a lo que sucede en nuestro país ya sea dentro o fuera de nuestras fronteras... En este entorno digamos "un tanto complejo", yo sigo allí, como siempre, deambulando como "el tipo loco con la cámara en la mano" (así es como algunos cariñosamente me llaman aquí) y con el paso de los años me he vuelto ecuánime. Pues, tiempo antes, las personas comenzaban a preguntarme por mi opinión respecto a lo que aquí sucede, en especial respecto al tema político. Pero sé por experiencia que aquí fijar alguna posición, te hace ganar amigos en unas calles y perderlos en otras. Así que con el tiempo simplemente aprendí a contestar de manera evasiva o incluso "incoherentemente" 😂 Aquí llamamos a eso "hacerse el pendejo" 😂 y decía mi padre que: "Aquel que aprende a hacerse el pendejo, puede vivir feliz en cualquier lugar" y créanme ¡Papá era un fiel practicante de esa técnica! 🤣... Obviously, and perhaps despite my lifestyle, driven by a kind of "necessary and desired minimalism," I still have positions and opinions regarding everything that happens here in my country. After all, it's something that, to a greater or lesser extent, ends up affecting me and my family. But after more than a quarter of a century living through very complex situations, I, like many people I know, have learned not to fall into that kind of "game of extreme passions," sometimes thoughtless, which makes people appear like "fanatics," and whose occurrence perhaps lies in much of the origin of the current fragmentation our society suffers. Furthermore, when this happens now, it's more of a "kind of paroxysm" that lasts a few days and then fades away until it's forgotten in the same way the news is diluted in the media. So it's highly advisable to let those moments of street excitement pass and wait for normality to return, just as it usually always does... 🤷♂
Obviamente, y quizás muy a pesar de mi forma de vida llevada a una especie de "minimalismo necesario y deseado", yo sigo teniendo posiciones y opiniones respecto a todo lo que acontece aquí en mi país. Después de todo, es algo lo cual en mayor o menor grado termina por afectarme a mi y a mi familia. Pero después de más de un cuarto de siglo viviendo escenarios muy complejos, yo, al igual que muchas personas que conozco, hemos aprendido a no caer en esa especie de "juego de pasiones extremas" algunas veces irreflexivas, el cual hace parecer a las personas como "fanáticos" y en cuyo ocurrir está quizás buena parte del origen de la actual fragmentación que sufre nuestra sociedad. Además, cuando esto ocurre ahora, se trata más bien de una "especie de paroxismo" que dura pocos días y luego pasa hasta olvidarse en la misma media en las que la noticias se diluyen en los medios. Así que es bastante recomendable dejar pasar esos momentos de exaltación callejera y esperar a que la normalidad retorne, así como por lo general siempre pasa... 🤷♂

ADDITIONAL TECHNICAL NOTE: Photographs captured with my Nikon D7000 DSLR camera in RAW format, then processed in Adobe Camera RAW for adjustments regarding light, sharpening, contrast and depth... They were then exported to JGP format on which minor modifications such as straightening and adding watermarks were carried out using PhotoScape v3.7
NOTA TÉCNICA ADICIONAL: Fotografias capturadas con mi cámara DSLR Nikon D7000 en formato RAW, procesadas posteriormente en Adobe Camera RAW para ajustes relativos a luz, afilado, contraste y profundidad... Luego fueron exportadas a formato JGP sobre el cual se llevaron a cabo modificaciones menores como enderezado y agregado de marcas de agua usando PhotoScape v3.7
