Hello dear, hivers! How are you? I hope you guys are all doing well.

A couple of weeks ago, I visited two most popular flower garden in Balamban, Cebu, as you can see in my previous blogs. Today, I will share to you few shots of beautiful flowers that I saw during my visit there, because honestly, there’s really something about flowers that I just can’t resist. ![Black and White Minimalist Mood Photo Collage (13).png](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/jmjourneys/48SMMrPjAj92isYkNEdDoj5bkKu6BSTgfmDxtXyDMmxiPUL2f63Lviktg78Zkryant.png) I dunno but, every time I see one, no matter where I am, I feel this urge to take a photo. Maybe I got it from my mother because she also has the same fascination with flowers. It’s like they have this magic, effortlessly drawing you in with their colors, their delicate petals, and the way they seem to brighten up any space. ![1736596522342.jpg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/jmjourneys/243BcGaB5H4QcNUS8WDk3WyYBiFyavCqwi1rMCxuXbgqm8ZaZnVMYg6LH2skdKsCyR4hN.jpg) *Hydrangea macrophylla* During my recent visit to Sirao Garden and Buwakan ni Alejandra, I was surrounded by the most beautiful flowers I’ve ever seen. These places are among the few areas here in Cebu with cooler weather, which is perfect for growing vibrant flowers. I couldn’t help but take lots of shots, to capture their beauty in a way that does them justice. But honestly speaking, no matter how good these photos looks, still nothing compares to the beauty of these flowers in person. ![1736590274018 (1).jpg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/jmjourneys/AKLt8YpL8jo6kyg6CChEXsQNVkRktBPdtWdmq2PfjGorgX1UKhvFRzExhdakEpZ.jpg) *Dahlia Pinnata* During the COVID-19 pandemic here in the Philippines, the fascination with flowers especially among women grew even more, they are even dubbed as ‘’Plantita’’. Oh, I can still remember those days when my mother was so obsessed with flowers. Even my dad joined her, though I knew it wasn’t really his thing HAHA! Perhaps, it became our coping mechanism or an escape from the anxiety and uncertainty brought by the crisis during that time. Because to be honest, tending to flowers, watching them grow, and surrounding oneself with nature really helped us to survived emotionally because it provides us a sense of calm and control during those unpredictable time. Many found joy in cultivating home gardens, filling spaces with vibrant blooms that brought comfort and hope amidst the chaos. It was a way to find beauty in the everyday, a reminder that life, like flowers, continues to bloom despite hardships. ![1736590274224 (1).jpg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/jmjourneys/AK9NrppcWr5PywNkwV5dCUFd52fPpm1yfFCZucdcUTrYcSuDPb7StE7Tcyi5DMA.jpg) *Hydrangea macrophylla* Flowers really have this unique way of making people feel something. Some flowers remind me of my childhood days I spent in my mother’s garden, and others bring back memories of special occasions, and that’s what makes them so special to me. ![1737372138341.jpg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/jmjourneys/AJkS4iRUaNarQPWxyemdM7VGFDx9SxnMVyFcuUaeJg9EEkfXToHkVUyNv5eiogV.jpg) One of my favorite shots from my trip was of a sunflower. I don’t know if it’s just me, but there’s just something about sunflowers that feels so warm and happy, like they always seem to be reaching for the sun. ![1737372765458.jpg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/jmjourneys/AJkSAAwaCzv6WBTnpFcUJJH28ttUBJBGA2dhaLucxPbJHPZ9dy14EPAzbX8KCxs.jpg) *Cleome spinosa* also called as the spiny spiderflower But beyond their beauty, flowers also hold so much meaning. They symbolize love, hope, new beginnings, and even farewells. We give flowers to our loved ones to celebrate special occasions, such as birthdays, anniversary, and many more. We also give flowers in order to offer comfort, show sympathy, and to express emotions that words sometimes can’t. ![1736596357293 (2).jpg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/jmjourneys/AK54qWNmH2rxynF2gQi5wMGddpFbtJaFLLRQ14KVVZk6LH8NirQsqQXUEiCiLFP.jpg) *Solanum mammosum*, commonly known as nipplefruit In a world that’s full of problems and disappointments, flowers are a gentle reminder that beauty exists in the simplest places. They are the ones that remind us to slow down and appreciate the little things in life. ![1736590273976 (1).jpg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/jmjourneys/AK3eeBqsKPSdYBXTsE6PZtqgWnsXCCeQV7PCjW51VwiGa1kgSozR7CfVdVgtqWk.jpg) *Dahlia Pinnata* Every time I look at my pictures, I remember the exact moment I took them. The soft wind, and of course the joy of being surrounded by nature. It’s like a small reminder of the happiness I felt at that moment. ![1737372372169.jpg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/jmjourneys/AJmqmAyRfdRs5yuEd2uXfPCYHBTseT9uQFg87nBrW1xDSuKUXNt45bL3Ed6RRTX.jpg) I guess that’s why I love flowers so much, because they remind me that beauty is everywhere, even in the smallest corners of the world. And as long as I have my my phone with me, I’ll always be ready to capture them. ![1738040078586.jpg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/jmjourneys/AKDiCqmGG2ih3CfVK7CeER5KjmbFtnGqRTVjWVb5kicwZFgXHW7kcnR6paR6DM5.jpg) Hope you guys enjoyed reading my blog, especially to those hivers who shares the same fascination with flowers as I do.
